We had a long distance move from Dallas to Miami. Unfortunately I have to say that moving guys did a really lousy job. First, The estimator Jennifer didn’t give an accurate quote even she came to the house and recorded everything. The result was extra $3000 charge on the moving day. Second, the packing was done terribly. The boxes were not labeled based on the rooms. We had to search master bedroom items in the garage. The small items (push pins, pens, jewelry etc) were not wrapped, and were thrown in the boxes. I had to tell the movers in Miami to move file cabinets to upstairs master bedroom or they will just leave them in garage.

There was no communication. The driver never called me to let me know when they will arrive. I had to keep following up. On top of that they were two days behind schedule so we had to stay in hotel for extra two days.

Communication after pick-up was non-existent. They were unable to inform us where our belongings were over the month that they had them.

The delivery date was pushed back multiple times. When the truck finally arrived, the driver claimed he was unable to pull into the parking lot, despite it being accessed by 18-wheelers multiple times before. They continued to try to add charges for switching trucks, stair steps, and the distance they would have to carry belongings due to their driver’s inability to do his job.
