I am grateful that I found Free Body and was able to do my PT with Marissa. She listened intently, asked if what we were doing was helping me, and made sure to spend time to identify the root of my issue. Most importantly, with other physical therapy clinics I have been to, I felt like a number, instead of a patient, and always felt that what I was doing wasn't truly addressing my needs. Free Body is the complete opposite of previous experiences that I have had. In 8 sessions, I feel more knowledgeable about my body and optimistic that an issue I've been dealing with for 2 years will be in the past. Last summer I herniated a disc. It was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. I was bed ridden for about 2 weeks. I went to Freebody by recommendation from my doctor. I wore a back brace to my first visit with Marissa and left without one. I’ve worked with Marissa and Mark over the past several months and they put me back on track. For several years, I've unsuccessfully tried to deal with a muscular issue in my arm/shoulder and was at a place of total resignation. Marissa at Free Body helped me get from that low point to noticeable relief in just a few sessions. By the end of day one, we had goals and an initial game plan in mind. By the end of my second and third session, we'd isolated the issue and have been making progress ever since.

Thanks to a regiment of small strength and therapeutic exercises, my work and life have improved significantly. We've also been doing dry needling in that muscular part of my shoulder and I encourage folks to give that a try.

I came to Free Body after 3 months of strggle with an shoulder impingement. At the time I had 1 month left before going to a circus acrobatics training camp. Marc rolled up his sleeves and set up a treatment plan to address my shoulder mobility and stability. I've learned so much from him and within 3 weeks I could do handstand again without pain. Post shoulder surgery, I understood that I was going to need many months of physical therapy. I dreaded the thought of going back to big box therapy where are you are nothing more than a number. I learned of free body physical therapy through a friend and decided to give it a shot. I knew right away I was in the right place. This is a small family owned business and it’s literally impossible for me to be any happier with my progress. Marissa was my main PT and she was absolutely outstanding. I came to Free Body Physical Therapy for pain that I had on my right shoulder. I had limited motion and unbearable pain. I've worked with all the staff at Free Body and each are knowledgeable and attentive to my issues. I feel like they really work on a treatment and exercise plan that is right for me, and are flexible as my needs and body have adjusted. On top of that, they share a space with excellent massage therapists and it is great to have communication between the people who are working on your issues.

I came to Free Body Physical Therapy about 4 months ago to deal with some lingering muscle pain from a left shoulder dislocation that I suffered from years ago. I experience chronic shoulder dislocation on both sides, so I'd already been through the PT circuit with IBJI to deal with multiple dislocations.

After a few sessions with Marissa, it became clear to me the poor quality of care I was receiving at a large firm like IBJI. Marissa was able to give me plenty of hands-on, one-on-one attention. I never felt before like I knew exactly what I needed to do to heal correctly and decrease the likelihood of future dislocations, but Marissa made sure to educate me on all the individual muscles in the rotator cuff that we'd be strengthening and how. As someone with chronic shoulder and hip pains from years of sports and running, (shoulder and hip labrum tears + hip labrum surgery) Free Body Physical Therapy was the perfect place to get not only quality physical therapy treatment but insight on what was causing pain and how to improve it. Marc and Marissa are 2 fantastic PTs that focus on you and are super accommodating to your needs. Unlike other bigger physical therapy offices, you are getting 1 on 1 therapy and that is a huge plus.
