Cute site. You can see the field and do whatever you like on it. Walk the field and sit out on the field.
They added a snack shop and gift shop.
The gift shop has typical overpriced merchandise. They ask for donations to view all of it.
Unfortunately you have to have a reservation for the house.
Id say its worth a stop if you like the movie!
They are also building a major league field for a game in aug 2021

Always a great place to visit. Very nice gift shop. The grandkids love walking out of the corn and running the bases.

I was glad to visit it being a Iowa it's a must do trip.. Another place where Iowa excels In road trips

When the movie, Field of Dreams, came out, I sat stunned in my theater seat as the credits rolled and all I could say was "Wow!" This movie impacted me deeply. 30 years later, I made the pilgrimage to mark off my bucket list a trip to the movie site. Yes, as I rolled through the gate, I asked the young lady, "Is this Heaven?" She smiled and said, "No, it's Iowa, but a beautiful day in Iowa." While the site may not be on the level as say the Grand Canyon or Mount Everest and the movie itself is considered a mix-bag of controversial ideas, the site of a baseball field and a country farm surrounded by corn leaves one with an Americana simplicity that dreams can be realized, healing can come in the plainess of pitch and catch, and families bond over a childhood baseball field that whispers get into the game and go the distance. How can I not say...

You drive pass A LOT of CORN.. But it is beautiful. The field had a youth baseball game going on. Besides that hang up, It is a sight to see for Movie fans..

The ONLY thing I didn't like is that they said admission was free, but upon entering someone was there to collect a $20 donation. I think they should have collection boxes throughout the area so people can donate what they want.
The upside is that it was $20 per vehicle which was nice.
It was fun seeing kids play ball and having a fun time.

Beautiful area! Loved the movie.
Make sure u tour the house, well worth it!!

My husband and father-in-law enjoyed the visit.
$20 "suggested" donation, but they were there to put on the hard sell and collect before you pulled in to park. I'm not sure what they'd do if you weren't prepared for that 'voluntary' donation.
The ball field was open to walk around, there is a separate fee to tour the house, which we did not do, so I don't know how much that would be.
