I don't recall the year but I know the day. It was on a Sunday, father's day to be exact. My mother, my wife at the time & I went to see this movie we were hearing about. All I knew was that it involved baseball, a son & his dad. Little did I know what I was in store for or the impact this movie would have on my life.
Picture this. My father died when I was 4 years old. At the age of 8 I began playing baseball. By the age of 13 I was a phenomenal player. At the age of 15 I was good enough to be offered a pro contract. My father wasn't there to share any of my baseball experiences. I never had the chance to have a catch with my dad.
