Excelled Montessori Plus

Sadly I feel the need to change my review. This school had a high turn over rate and I can't say that I would advise taking your children here anymore unless you are extremely thorough with your vetting process for their particular teacher. We experienced total disregard for preschool/toddler aged needs and disrespect to parents for standing ground on a child's needs with a recent hire. Teachers would call in sick and there wouldn't be enough staff to cover so rooms would be combined over the state allowable ratio or the poor cook had to sit with classes until help arrived. Nursery was GREAT, I cant stress that enough, but I can't say the same for the other rooms anymore. I feel terrible for putting our children through this since as a parent we are their advocate, but I should have known when teachers were leaving "for better opportunities" or up and quitting with no notice given that there were internal issues a preschooler can't communicate. It's too bad because the facility is beautiful and has so much potential!

Previous post: We chose Excelled Montessori because location was convenient for us and we were interested to learn about Montessori teachings for our kids. This school has captivated their interest from day 1 and allowed creativity to come out in them every day while learning at the same time. The best part to us was that class sizes are small, so that meant less sickness and more one on one teaching. We had an infant here from 12 weeks old so finding somewhere safe, nurturing, and not overwhelmingly populated was important to us. She was in a room with only 4-6 babies and usually 2 teachers which was great! Needless to say it has been a great place for a baby, along with for our toddler aged children too. There isn't a single day that they come home and say they were bored and didn't learn anything. It's always fun to them! The facility is very nice and filled with high end learning materials that are strictly designed for Montessori teachings. Playgrounds are very nice as well, although sun shades would be nice, but maybe that's planned for the future. The only downfall for us is turn over rate with staff here, but I think that's to be expected with most daycares, and also being that this one is new and still getting on their feet. Overall we have been pleased and it is a great place for our children to attend!
