We have been extremely impressed with Ethical Flooring from the initial showroom experience through to now the near completion of a particularly challenging flooring project. The showroom is organized, welcoming, and makes the selection process feel like a breeze. Pricing is transparent, which gives you confidence in making decisions, and throughout the process it is clear that the company takes genuine pride in its work.

Our project involved Mirage Chevron flooring and a specialized landing in a century-old heritage home. This was not a straightforward installation. Working with Chevron flooring requires a high degree of finesse, precision, and attention to alignment, and the specialized landing added another level of complexity. Doing this successfully in an older heritage home, where conditions are rarely as simple or predictable as in a new build, required real craftsmanship and careful problem-solving.

Our installer, Istvan, deserves particular recognition for the way he handled the work. He was essentially self-managed throughout the project and demonstrated an impressive level of independence and ownership. He worked through difficult conditions, including very hot summer days, and continued to approach the job with patience and determination. There were no complaints about the conditions or the challenges involved, he simply got on with the work and delivered an excellent result.

What stood out most was Istvan’s craftsmanship and his approach to solving problems. When difficult or unexpected situations arose, he did not take shortcuts or simply work around an issue. He took the time to understand the problem, determine the appropriate solution, and address it thoroughly. His approach was thoughtful, precise, and grounded in integrity. On a project where small details can make a very visible difference, that level of care was particularly valuable. Istvan demonstrated a willingness to stand behind his work and make sure all details were properly taken care of. His persistence and accountability really impressed us and our other contractors.

Our point of contact, Raitis, is exceptional at project management. He is approachable, supportive, and accountable, and he has an excellent ability to make potentially stressful situations feel manageable. When something needs attention, his focus is on proactively addressing it with care. He listens and approached the project from our perspective and follows through. This kind of leadership gives the customer confidence that even if an issue arises, it will be handled professionally and fairly.

We also want to recognize the broader Ethical Flooring experience. The communication is excellent and the owners clearly take pride in the service and product they deliver. They have great staff ownership in their respective roles. It is obvious that the company has many projects underway, yet the team continues to perform at a high level. That reflects well on the company’s ability to hire good people, build a capable team, and give those individuals the responsibility and support to perform.
