I went into the program with Essential Behavioral Health just about a year a go now. It is actually 11 months to be exact. As many people probably are when making the decision to enter into a Rehab program, I was nervous, scared, confused, lost, and unsure of what to expect. From the moment I met the staff I felt immediately re-assured that I made the right decision. The people/staff that I met in the program was truly a valued part of my recovery process. The staff was always attentive and ready to address any needs or concerns. My counselor Jackie was great. Being able to speak with her to address some of the personal concerns that I had coming into the program was great. Additionally, I was unsure of where I was going to live after the program, and Jackie helped to ensure my availability to secure housing before I left the program, which was a tremendous relief.
The topics that were discussed during our daily program were very timely, and generated great conversation along with insight into myself and what my habits and thought processes have been. I found it interesting that some of the topics that were discussed prompted me to look at things in a way that I hadn't previously, and generated new thoughts into myself and what my history has been.
The way the program was setup allowed for a lot of interaction with the other participants in the program, which I truly appreciated. The comradery that came from us being there together and growing, learning, and achieving together was such an amazing feeling.
I can't say enough how much I appreciated the program for what they gave me. While I understand that it was my work that made it possible, the program really made it so easy to put in the effort and helped me to believe that I could maintain sobriety. I have had an amazing 11 months since being sober, absolutely amazing, and have achieved so much. It all started with my recovery program, and I am absolutely truly grateful to everyone that I interacted with and for the knowledge that I gained in the process.
