I recently agreed to help a friend with their long-time hoarding issues in their second floor apartment. She did not wish to be present during the cleaning. She was going into the hospital for three days right before the New Year’s holiday, and that put us in need of immediate and fast help while she was gone.
It being the holidays, the only company I heard back from was Hoarding Cleanup Wisconsin. Fully booked up at the time, the owner Francisco sympathized with our situation and incredible time crunch and agreed to fit in the job.
Knowing this was all going to be very hard, the last thing I expected was to find a cleaning service with a heart.
Since my friend wasn’t there during the cleaning, I can’t speak to how Fransisco’s team would have worked with the hoarder themselves. But I worked with the team side-by-side and can speak to all the rest.
When two major things needed fixing that weren’t a part of our contract, Francisco fixed them himself, rather than lose time waiting for a landlord to respond to a request for repairs. And his team was especially sensitive to needing to be discreet in their work and in going in and out of the apartment building, and also in taking away the trash so it didn’t “show” in the building dumpsters. Team members Jose and Marta were wonderful to work with and didn’t hesitate to help, again, even when it wasn’t part of our initial agreement. Talk about above and beyond!
When she got home, my friend was overwhelmed with joy to have her home and safety back. To her and me, Hoarding Cleanup Wisconsin was worth their weight in gold in a situation that could have otherwise been very difficult and painful. Thank you, Francisco, for leading your company with heart and caring.
