I've never needed a personal injury lawyer before, however when I was in a serious accident that changed, I knew noting about the process. I thought for a few months that I could work through it myself, but it became apparent that the system does not really allow for that. Del Rio & Caraway kept me informed every step of the way, and made the process as easy as possible (even though it involved 3 insurance companies, and I did not know what to expect). Mine was not as serious an accident as some, but I was a pedestrian who had a walk signal with me, struck by a motorist who didn't see me.

I made a number of errors in not immediately reporting the incident and waiting to negotiate with the person to hit me rather than calling a lawyer immediately.

My injuries were not life threatening, but the driver broke her side mirror off on my upper arm and had sent me hurtling on my back landing fifteen or twenty feet from the point of impact. I had soft items in my back pack. It could have been much worse than a bruised arm elbow and wrist.
