I recently went on a Leadership Expeidtion thanks to Deepwater Subsea and Impact a Hero. This was a watershed moment for my life.
Prior to the trip, I always thought of myself as fairly self-realized. The trip showed me that there much I do not know about my strengths, weaknesses, and motivations. I believe this is true for all of us and we do not realize it due to the lack of opportunities to completely remove ourselves from the static of our daily lives.
That static comes in many forms ranging from cell phones, work and family stress, to worrying about what our colleagues and loved ones think of us.
The curriculum presented in the Expedition allows one to begin addressing the proper questions and issues that are holding one back from deep self exploration and growth as a person and a leader. The setting of the trip, the backcountry of the Teton Mountains, allows one to really and truly unplug from the static of life. With this done, a person is truly ready to commune with the other leaders on the trip and beefing the journey to becoming a better person and leader.
I want to thank those at Deepwater that helped make this trip possible. I came back a better leader, a better husband, a better father, and now have the tools to continue myself development.
I honestly believe every person would benefit from this Expedition and those that have been once would only grow more though repeated opportunities tootsie this journey.
