The guy who showed up was fabulous! Harry was professional, knowledgeable, honest, and genuine. Since my last experience with a competitor was high pressured I had contacted Davis for a 2nd opinion. The competitors evaluated my AC unit and I was informed I needed a new unit that would cost approximately $4-6,000. And since my heater was the same age that should be replaced too. So all total it would cost around $15,000. Mind you, both the heater and AC have never given us any trouble. Harry's assessment was in stark contrast to the first. He found no evidence of a freon leak or of an oil leak. Although there was the presence of some oil, there was no evidence of any break in the system, no oil spray observed anywhere. He backed up his conclusions by showing me the numbers on the equipment gauges and the exact range according
to the manufacturers recommendations . After educating me with a crash course in AC units - stated in terminology I understood - he suggested options I could select to continue keeping my AC unit running as efficiently as possible. He gave me his opinion regarding the life expectancy of my unit based on his years of experience and knowledge of AC systems. There was no pressure whatsoever- high or low -to purchase a new HVAC system ! There was a thorough explanation of what Davis offers to maintain my homes HVAC systems and the cost. He took the time to cover all the perks of membership and detailed the plumbing inspection that is included in the package. When it came time to check my heat pump he went above and beyond his duties! A large tree sapling had grown in front of the side gate, impeding passage. I was preparing to cut it down as well as other unruly plant growth when Harry says, "no problem! I can do that!". He not only cut it down, but hauled it to my front curb after asking where I'd like it. He then assisted with getting the garden hose to the area and also helped me returning it to its reel. Mind you it was a very hot and humid day . Even though it was morning, the dew point was hovering around 78%, making it feel like it was 95°F.
