Yesterday, I visited Dr. Cohen’s office on the advice of my ophthalmologist, who referred me to a cornea specialist after discovering severe scratches on my cornea caused by my recent eyelid cosmetic surgery. My ophthalmologist had expressed serious concerns about the damage to my cornea, leaving me overwhelmed and tearful when I arrived at Dr. Cohen’s office.
Before Dr. Cohen came in, his assistant doctor greeted me. She was incredibly kind and compassionate, reassuring me that Dr. Cohen would take a look and that I would be okay. Her words immediately brought some comfort.
A few moments later, Dr. Cohen entered the room with his usual friendly demeanor. After thoroughly examining my eyes, he calmly reassured me, canceling out all the medications I had been taking and giving me a clear, manageable treatment plan. He told me that my eyes would heal and recover fully. His confidence and expertise felt like a lifeline to me.
This wasn’t my first experience with Dr. Cohen’s exceptional care. Back in 2019, he performed surgery on both of my eyes, completely transforming my vision. Before that surgery, I was practically blind without contact lenses or glasses. Thanks to him, I’ve been able to see clearly—without any corrective lenses—and even read without glasses. Dr. Cohen truly gave me a new lease on life.
This time, he prescribed an ointment and an eyedrop to heal the scratches on my cornea. He mentioned that while this eyedrop costs over $1,000 in the U.S., it is available over the counter in Europe for a reasonable price. Understanding this, he suggested I ask friends or family abroad to help. However, his wonderful staff went above and beyond to find a U.S. pharmacy that could fill my prescription at a much more affordable price, and they arranged for the medication to be delivered directly to my home.
I cannot praise Dr. Cohen and his team enough. Every staff member at his office is compassionate, attentive, and truly committed to their patients’ well-being. Dr. Cohen himself is not only an exceptionally skilled doctor but also incredibly warm, caring, and, might I add, quite handsome! I feel fortunate and privileged to know such a remarkable doctor and his team.
