Cohen Eye Institute Old Bridge

I recently had LASIK surgery with Dr. Cohen at Cohen Eye Institute, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From my initial consultation through the surgery and recovery, the entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely attentive.

The staff took the time to perform multiple detailed scans and evaluations to ensure I was a good candidate and that every aspect of the procedure was carefully planned. Throughout the process, communication was excellent, and every question I had was answered thoroughly.

Dr. Cohen was outstanding. He took the time to explain the procedure, set clear expectations, and made me feel completely comfortable and confident. His calm and caring approach made a big difference.

I flew all the way to see Dr. Cohen from Bloomington, Minnesota in April 2026. I was told that Dr. Cohen handles complex cases. I had lasik in 1999 which left many aberrations on my cornea, and my cataract was hyper mature. I was extremely nervous for my cataract surgery. Prior to meeting Dr. Cohen, I had met with multiple other doctors who left me feeling uncertain regarding my potential outcome. After my initial exam and meeting with Dr. Cohen, I immediately felt confident in my treatment plan and was at ease. He has state of the art equipment to ensure he measures the correction properly and his staff are absolutely outstanding. Shoshana, Kelly Anne, Dr. Chen, are all kind, and wonderfully helpful. Amazing doctors, amazing staff. You are so knowledgeable and kind here, I love you. Only problem is you don't accept Horizon NJ health insurance anymore, so I will have to change doctors to within my insurance going forward, but I love you guys, so I did pay out of pocket to see Dr Chen this time. I truly love you guys

I love Dr. Chen. She is a skilled Optometrist. I find her to be down to earth, an excellent communicator who explained my eye condition with patience and compassion. She is enthusiastic and seems to really enjoy what she does. I highly recommend her!

Wonderful experience from start to finish.

My visit with Dr. Chen was great! The front desk and her assistant were polite, professional and knowledgeable! Dr. Chen showed concern for my issue and prescribed a medication that seemed to immediately help! I’ve been to Cohen Eye Institute many times and have always been satisfied!

My brother is disabled and everyone is so kind and considerate during our visits. Dr. Chen is a wonderful doctor. She always includes my brother in our conversations!

I like Dr. Chen & Valerie. They are professional & competent. However, I felt "rushed out" on my last visit; Dr. Chen was probably back logged with patients. I submitted a question to Kelly at the front desk yesterday, but have not heard back from her yet. I am patiently waiting.
