Excellent, Dr’s and staff very helpful, courteous, friendly, and supportive. Answered all my questions with answers I could fully understand and made me very comfortable before and after my surgery.
So far I am doing well (post surgery). No problems, feeling good. As in the past, I have highly recommended the Cohen institute to friends who are now patients. And I will continue to do so.

What an experience, coming from a -17 to 20/20. The anxiety….. The procedure was pain free, and yes I had THE DR. COHEN perform the procedure , less than a half an hour. Upon completion I received a long stem rose from the doctor to first hand experience the beauty of color and vision. This was truly a beautiful experience. Not to mention the professional warm and welcoming spirit of all staff from the front desk to the back.

Had cataract surgery in both eyes. The last 40 years my vision was bad with high astigmatism. After the surgery I have 20/25 vision in both eyes. Can’t express enough gratitude for Dr. Cohens experience and professionalism.

It took me two years to decide my eye surgery and when I did it, I regretted why I took so much time. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the world looks after the surgery and without the glasses. Dr. Ilan Cohen is a BRILLIANT eye surgeon!!! I did not consider any other surgeon to perform my cataract surgery. I will be forever grateful to him for restoring clear vision in my traumatized eye necessitating a very complicated and complex surgery due to forcefully being hit with a batted ball as I was pitching during a Wiffleball game in my PE class. The pitched ball was forcibly struck hitting my eye directly on a line drive from a very close range distance of 12-ft away, resulting in a torn iris and a complete dislocation of my lens. Dr. Cohen masterfully was able to remove the dislocated lens. Previous to my surgery, I was frustratingly unable to see anything other than shapes out of my eye.

I will be recommending Dr. Cohen to anyone in need of a skillful eye surgeon to perform their cataract or any other type of eye surgery that he specializes in. Thank you so...

During my consultation with Dr.Cohen, I mentioned I wanted to be glasses free. He recommended EnVista Envy for my right eye and Clareon Vivity lens for my left eye. I had the procedures three weeks apart in March of 2026. About five months later I can report I’m very happy with the choice to use those lens. I no longer need reading glasses, even for small print. My distance vision is great also. There are halos or rings around lights at night, but I’ve gotten used to them. I don’t drive much, but I don’t believe they would be a problem. For me it’s well worth the trade-off of no longer needing glasses at all. Thank you, Dr. Cohen.

Was smooth painless thanks!

It took me a year to find Dr. Cohen after a few consults in my state of NC. I came across his YouTube channel and it was very informative. So, I scheduled a zoom consult and Dr. Cohen upfront prescribed me two eye drops (Xiidra & Meibo) to help my dry eye and improve my cataract surgery experience. The drops were extremely helpful and the surgery went well. Dr. Cohen takes time to understand the patient's condition and lifestyle to help recommend the lens that is best fit. He also double checks eye measurements. The eye surgeons in NC do not answer questions, do not ask about your lifestyle and are pretty much stuck in the conventional cataract surgery using mono-focal lenses. Dr. Cohen is a progressive surgeon and goes the extra mile to perfect the cataract procedure for better outcomes. He has the lowest infection rate in the US and the highest patient satisfaction record. Dr....

Second surgery have extreme dry eye, while first surgery had no dry eye. 2 days after stll red and swollen. Still blurry vision, it's bad. First eye saw 20/20 day after and was clear with no redness or swelling. Second eye did not port well with laser and was very uncomfortable. Lots of pressure. My eye felt like it got punched. Look forward to it clearing up so I can see.

It’s been two full days since my surgery and my eye is much better – still slightly blurry, however, I know that that will clean up in the next couple days – it was a simple quick surgery and I have the utmost faith in Dr. Cohen – thanks for everything!

I found out Cole to be very thorough and pleasant. There was a bit of a long wait time for my actual appointment when I got to see Dr. Cohen but again I would have to say that the experience was very pleasant and informative. Dr. Collins representative Gabrielle Perez Never contacted me to give me pricing information however. Thus far, I don’t know what Dr. Cohen services it would cost.

Overall, I like Dr. Cohen very much. I also enjoyed interacting with Dr. Patel who is his assistant Ophthalmologist. She was very thoughtful and insightful.

From initial consultation to Day of surgery everyone who treated me was polite and Professional. I am pleased with results so far and I can't wait to have my other eye done. Only complaint would be that they did not have my implant at the surgical center.Had to wait extra 2hours till someone delivered from another location. If it wasn't for this issue I would have given 5 stars.
