I had (2) Carrier Infinity 19 seer systems installed by another company 26 months ago. A 4-ton unit downstairs and a 3-ton unit upstairs. The upstairs unit quit working on 6/8/2020. Called that company that did the original install to come out in March to do my annual checkup on my systems, but they weren’t doing maintenance calls only new installs. Called them out for this problem and the tech told me after was here less than 2-minutes, that the units I had weren’t very good , that I should have bought a Trane, not realizing his company had installed them. Then kept telling me my compressor was out, wasn’t even listening to what I had to say, wouldn’t pay attention to the code being displayed on the thermostat, kept trying to sell me a maintenance agreement, because it was going to cost me $1,300 to change out the compressor that wasn’t bad. The code said it was the converter...
