This is lengthy, but bare with me, I can't exactly put our experience into so few words. Let me set the scene:
It was busy, around 7 pm when we arrived, we waited all of 3 minutes for a table.
Ms. Sunshine herself, Tiff, was AWESOME!! She suggested the best menu options, to include different tequilas to try for our pregame, as yesterday was my B-I-G 2-1!
1st of all, HUGE selection of fine liquor, spirits & a full tap with so many choices for craft brews. My dad (the bill payer for the evening) was thrilled & very much enjoyed his brewski.
I fell head over heels for their sushi, my favorite was the dynamite and the big roll. My bf loved the Prime Mac, & my little brother devoured his smokey prime rib steak.
To conclude: Love this place, LOVE Tiff, & love the memories we made there last night!

We stopped there day 1 of a RV road trip. The food was excellent & our waitress (Newcomer) was so sweet. We liked it so much we came back on day 17 of our trip as we were heading home. We drive 450 miles to get there before they closed. That’s how much we enjoyed the restaurant & the staff. The loaded potato wedges & tempura fried cheesecake were absolutely delicious!!

Hands down one of the best restaurant in the area. They have such a diverse menu to choose from, a little of everything. I have been here several times and have not had any disappointments. Their general seating area is a little cramped up but they also have an outdoor seating area and a back room for larger groups. Their customer service is amazing and there is also an inviting atmosphere in this restaurant.

Chubby Trout is a quaint little food destination that is jam packed with character and so many flavors to choose from. Our waitress, Katelin was very friendly, kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The menu offers so much, you could go there every week for months, and try something different. They also have a pleasing drink selection, both beer and cocktails. We have been regulars for years, and, it is, and always will be, one of our favorite places to enjoy each others company, as well as delicious food, every time!

Traveling with our 10-lb “fur-baby” and had a delightful evening on the patio. Everyone went out of their way to make it a great place to bring our dog, the food was excellent, the drinks just right, and Syna did a fantastic job, despite being very busy.

Our First time to Chubby Trout and it was great! Sierra and Tif were wonderful! My wife’s Key Lime Martini was great and their Local Brews were spot on! The Perch and Trout were phenomenal! My wife had a Seared Ahi Tuna Salad that she loved! We will definitely be back. Great atmosphere as well!

Our server Amy was very nice and knowledgeable and helpful, if in the area must give a try.get there early they do get busy.

We’re practicing taking our one year old out to restaurants so we were a bit stressed but Amanda W. took care of us so well. She was so speedy, helpful, and accommodating!!

I'm not a huge seafood fan but my husband certainly is, Tiff had recommendations for both & each entree was wonderful.
I had Pasta New Orleans & my husband had the blackened perch dinner.
When great dinner is paired with fun & excellent service you know you've created loyal guests!

Suns is the best. I only stopped by every 2 months but yet she recognized me. Nice touch. And her laugh makes the place so inviting. Who would order sushi in Indiana …. Well being from Vancouver this is just as good. Cheers! Special place

Tiff was fantastic, sushi was quick and delicious, and my entree, named after the restaurants name sake, was better than i had anticipated. Gratitude to tiff & chubby trout staff for an amazing dinner.

Great dinner at Chubby Trout- food was amazing- entrées included Walleye, prime rib, sushi and some great appetizers. Liz, our wonderful waitress, gave great food suggestions and was super attentive. Honestly, treated us first timers like we have been regulars for years. Will definitely be going back next time I’m here!!!!!!

One of the few seafood places around that actually have Bluegill on the menu. It's nice to be able to sit outside, just wish the seating area was screened in. Way too many flies flying around.
