We stayed at a local hotel and they recommended the Chubby Trout for lunch or dinner. We always like to try local restaurants and stay away from the chains. We were not disappointed in this recommendation. Our waitress Katelin was very kind, super informative and took her time explaining things about the menu that we asked first-timers. We ended up having the lunch combo, sushi rolls and just loved our selections. Tried their chubby margaritas not disappointed there either. And for dessert, The. Chocolate Insanity. The restaurant was clean and filling up with hungry customers by 430. Reasonably priced and the service was fantastic.

I love their sushi! They also have the BEST sweet potato fries in the area. We had Katelin as a waitress and she was so kind and patient with our indecisiveness! Will definitely be back!

The food here is really good. Especially their prime rib dishes. I get the prime Mac and Cheese and there isn't anything like it out there. The atmosphere is also great. The inside of the building is made of repurposed items and barn wood, so it's very homey. They play good music in the background too. The only downside are the servers, particularly many of the female servers. They're friendly and good at their jobs, but every time we go there, they're shouting and laughing really loudly. Along with talking about personal issues close to tables.. such as the men they've had babies with. Stuff us guests do not want to hear. Please take your gossip somewhere out of ear shot, lol.

Chubby Trout is one of my local favorites. The food and atmosphere are consistently good. On this visit I wanted to share that our server Alyssa did an amazing job. She was attentive, pleasant, and fun to communicate with. Our experience with Alyssa, coupled with the great food made an excellent dining experience. Shot out to Alyssa for a job well done.

Most certainly will return. Walleye is fantastic!!

We are from New Hampshire and drive to Wisconsin every year to see family and always make sure we stop at the Chubby Trout for a meal.

Our waitress Hailey was amazing, prompt, kind and friendly. The food was great. Everything was served hot and tasty. We forgot to bring our take away with us when we left. Hailey ran after us with it! Great service! Thank you!
