Tanner was a great waiter and helped answer all of our questions! We loved our food and will definitely be back!

The food is different, yet most is delicious.
I'm not a fan of sushi, so I can't say anything about that.
It's a 'bar atmosphere', so when crowded, it's difficult to talk at a reasonable volume.
The tables have paper covers for ease of clean-up, yet they can be irritating when your clothing catches on it😜

Fabulous food every time we dine here. The service is great and the staff is the best.

Awesome place, waitress very prompt. They said 30 minutes wait when we checked in, but it was 5 minutes.

Ended up staying at one of the hotels in the area and the Chubby Trout was walking distance so I decided to give it a shot. WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! Everything about this place impressed me and I’ve come back numerous times since then. My review reflects the many different entrees I’ve had along with the many different experiences I’ve had with the staff. Every server has shown the upmost respect and demonstrated strong professionalism throughout my encounters with them. Someone that stood out to me was Liz. She was so much fun and only made my dining experiences better. If you find yourself staying in Elkhart and are hungry, be sure to try out the Chubby Trout, it won’t let you down.

I have been to The Chubby Trout every time I have come to Elkhart for work and they never disappoint! Talk about a great atmosphere, awesome food ranging from fresh fish, sushi, burgers, etc., and top tier Service! Our server Liz provided top-tier service; she was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, enhancing our dining experience significantly. Overall, a fantastic meal that I highly recommend!

Sierra and Dani were great! Food was good, sushi was a bit smaller portion than other places, but great taste!!

Our waitress, Dani was excellent and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was great except we had a large family behind us with a small child constantly coughing.

We ate at the bar and had fun interacting with Dani, Sierra and other patrons.

Staff is consistently attentive and the food never disappoints. Great local restaurant with a variety of food choice and great bar service! Tonight we were served by Dani & Sierra who did not miss a beat on service!
