Their prime rib is good, their calamari is great but their chocolate cake is phenomenal. I don’t know if it’s the peach bourbon talking but I could bathe in that cake. 🏊‍♂️☀️💦

Outstanding sushi and beer. If you're here the carrot cake is a MUST!! We come here for sushi and beers (and spicy crab soup!!) every time we are in town!! Added photos of some appetizers!

We had The Chunby Trout cater our wedding, I would ABSOLUTLY recommend them to anyone looking for an amazing caterer as their staff was extremely helpful every step of the way. All of our guest were amazed with the food, I definitely recommend the Mac and Cheese as it seemed to be a guest favorite!

The wife had a delicious fish sampler plate. I had the prime rib dip sandwich, but I didn't particularly like it. A bit "bready" for my tastes. Cocktails were ok.

What a treat! From the sushi and bisque to the sweet potato fries, and I must mention the coconut shrimp and walleye - but that’s just the food! The service was phenomenal with personal contact. The decor in the seating area was cabin-like and somehow made the food taste even better.
If you haven’t been here yet, don’t wait any longer!

Took a dozen of my employees out to dinner at the Chubby Trout as recognition for a great department performance. We have one rule when we do this “Queen or King” is the only allowed option. We LOVE the smoked prime rib and all get it. The staff always does a great job and the food is exceptional. We will be back.

Elkhart excellence!! We regularly dine-in… the Smoked Prime Rib is perfectly prepared and my husband always orders it… every. single. time. I prefer the Sushi Boat and am always very happy with the presentation and high-quality freshness. (Note: I keep a bottle of low-sodium soy sauce in the car as they do not carry it… and I do eat sushi often!). The other seafood options are really good, too. The signature Chubby Trout is sublime. Don’t miss out on the creative mixologists at the bar - we particularly love the Banana Split Martini with dessert - and the desserts are absolutely decadent. Honestly love this restaurant and always bring visitors when they are in town! Their carry out is so convenient and well packaged, with a dedicated parking spot for pick-ups. Chubby Trout is one of our favorite restaurants in the area!
