Chubby Trout

My friend and I were soo hungry when we stopped here. The staff was very friendly and were on top of things. Within minutes of being seated, we were greeted by our server, and the wait for our meals was very short, thank goodness. Fish is their specialty, and you can tell. He got the lake perch, and it was perfect; you won't even need any sauce (I put sauce on everything pretty much, so this is a big deal to me). I got the mango salmon, and it was even better than the perch! The bill was a little steep, but not so bad when you have quality food and service such as this.

I got a fried sushi roll and it was very good and surprisingly still very warm when I got it but it took forever to get our food like we had a big group but it was probably 45 minutes of waiting...

NY Strip with vegetables was very tasty and perfectly medium cooked. Sushi is great as well, All the food looks good with a large offer of craft beer

We usually grab a spot at the bar when it’s just the two of us and the bartenders are like friends to us. The food is always fantastic—and it’s one of the very few places I’ll order salmon because they prepare it perfectly to my request (medium). If you like seafood, you’ve got to give CT a try! Also, the sushi is the best in northern Indiana, hands-down.

Sat at the bar our choice. Great atmosphere. The crab pepper bisque was very meaty, perfect amount of spice. The crab cakes where excellent again very meaty..My wife the birthday girl had the bacon chicken ranch wrap. The bacon was the bomb.. She loved it. The beverage were very good also. .Had the mezzacorona Grigio as I had the house FH Lake Day. Courtney was very attentive and knowledgeable about the restraunt and was able to answer all my questions..👏❤️

The Walleye was delicious but I tried my wife's prime rib it was among the best I ever had. I'm going back and getting the prime rib!

After reading reviews online, we decided to try out the Chubby Trout. I was pleased with how quickly we were sat on a Friday night and impressed that the young lady offered to get me a chair with a back instead of the stool that was at the table. I hadn't even noticed. Hailey T. showed up quickly, and while she said she usually bartends, she is a phenomenal server! She made recommendations when we asked, pointed out the appetizer we were contemplating, came with one of the meals, and was just all-around fantastic. The Norwegian Trout was flavorful, and the brussel sprouts, so good. I had the Chubby Trout, and it was tender and delicate, and the sauce was the perfect complement. The stools weren't super comfortable, and I still experience sticker shock over $14 drinks, but we we will definitely be back. I will just continue to order a melted snowman as Hailey called it.

Was interested in what they had to offer. Their menu is over the top with a blend of entrees and appetizers sure to satisfy any palet.
