In the area passing through on the way back to MN and the hotel recommended so I gave it a try. So glad I did!!! The staff was nothing short of amazing with their attentiveness to all guests even though the line was out the door. My meal was brought out way faster than I expected considering how busy it was. I will say the crab pepper bisque is nothing other than perfection in a bowl!! I read another review that did not rate their steaks very well...but I can honestly say it was one of the best New York strip I've had in a very long time. All things considered this was a great dining experience after spending the past 2mo on the road eating at different places. By far the best I've had in some time. I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

The food here was absolutely phenomenal, I don’t post reviews often but happy to recommend this great spot in Elkhart! I got the “Fishing off the pier favourites” which is a sampling, excellent choice. Highly recommend.

we are from out of town and stopped at thr Chubby trout on the recommendation of our hotel. the atmosphere is awesome thr staff is friendly and the food is great. Our waitress Yesnia was efficient, friendly and accommodating. Would absolutely go back and recommend to anyone.

We traveled from Detroit, MI to Elkhart, Indiana, as invited guests to the Hall of Heroes Comic-Con March 2 -3, 2024. We stayed at a local hotel and the lady recommended the "Chubby Trout". It sounded fun, so we said, "Why not?!" And it truly didn't disappoint.

The walk up was an experience! The outside heaters were going on the patio, and whatever they were using for fuel had such a pleasant aroma as it burned was the first indication that they thought of everything!

We'd been around the con-goers all day, and we're winding down. I personally braced myself for extremely loud music but was presently surprised. The music was universally appealing, and our party of 4 was able to communicate without yelling. However, we added a party of three more and became 7... we brought the yelling😂🤣😅

One of our favorite restaurants. I love that they are knowledgeable about gluten free. Our waitress tonight was so nice and had a great sense of humor. Thank you Tiffany and the gluten free lava cake was fabulous.

I am originally from Florida and we had an abundance of great seafood restaurants and fast food. Since moving to Michigan it's been a challenge to find somewhere that serves good fish. I'm really glad a friend recommended that my partner and I tried Chubby Trout while we were in the area. I got the sampler platter that had shrimp, perch and trout. All three were amazing, the trout being my favorite. My partner and I also tried some steak egg rolls that were really good. I would definitely love to come back sometime!

Destiny was our server. We are staying in a hotel nearby and we’re very pleased to find that they had a pet friendly patio, so our baby could join us. Not only were they extremely attentive to her but as well to us. Brought her a side of chicken with no seasoning that was reasonably priced And a fresh bowl of water in a kitchen bowl that has been through a dishwasher not a bowl some other dog has drank out of. if you were a dog owner, who has ever had a dog with kennel cough you know exactly what I’m talking about. we started with the spicy tuna crunchy roll… Sorry, no pictures because we were hungry. my husband had the silver Harbor monkey business Stout and loved it… I did have a nibble and it was delicious. Split the large prime rib and there was so much left over!!!
