Children's Lighthouse of Woodforest

I absolutely love Childrens Lighthouse in Woodforest! We have had the pleasure of having Ms.Patty since our little one was 12 weeks old. She is absolutely amazing and a baby whisperer! Additionally, when my oldest attends she always asks if she gets to see Ms.Demi. My oldest is not a HUGE fan of school but somehow Ms.Demi manages to make it fun and structured.

Family atmosphere! I love that my son is learning new things in a fun structured environment. They do well with keeping the parents included in their activities! A very understanding and helpful group of people at the Woodforest location. We look forward to growing with them!

The staff are just phenomenal with our children. They genuinely love going there and we know they love our children even on their toughest days. You really could not ask for a better school. We will be sorry to leave when our kids are grown, but we will know they were in great hands as toddlers and babies!

We moved to the area and left an amazing school, but were lucky to find another great school for 3 kids to attend. I have positive things to say about all the classrooms we have tried (infant, preschool and summer camp). 2 of my children have attended full-time since June and 1 over the summer. They handle tough situations with gentle responses and are always looking to make the school better! The playground is big with a variety of fun things to do, including a splash pad for summer! I have been very pleased with the professionalism of the staff and their communication. It is also comforting to be able to check in on my kids throughout the day on the camera feed.

The new management is wonderful and very responsive. My child absolutely loves his teacher and school and is very happy there. He is excited each and every day. He is learning so much from Mrs. Demi. She is a gem and I couldn't have asked for better care for him.

Best school ever. So happy we found this little hidden gem after my sons school closed down with no notice. Ms Carlen and the entire staff at the childrens lighthouse are so loving and warm. We are blessed to be part of this community! Highly recommend them!!

Everybody is so kind. I really love this place. All sorts of fun activities for the kids. My toddler has learned so much since being here.

My daughter loves it at Children's Lighthouse. We ESPECIALLY love Ms. Demi. She is an absolutely wonderful teacher and true gem.

About me: I have 2 children who attend this Lighthouse, one is 7 ( after school program)and one is 2.
School in a nut shell: Engaged, intuned, inspirational for little ones and motivational, elite child treatment, above standard expectations for all teachers, tranquil and inviting. They are clean, organized and the playground is amazing, miniature golf and soccer.
Director: words do not do it justice but, Amazing will have to do- she has by far the best outlook for child development I have seen in a while. Her ability to be creative in learning lessons allows for each student to blossom in all areas. Her dedication fills the hallways with love and compassion! She keeps the employees on point and follows processes! She is also fully engaged in each classroom, and has even started to add degreed teachers and the school is reaping the reward of...

I have two after school children here. Both of them love this school.

My youngest started Kindergarten this August and she has "mastered" the first month of school because she was so well prepared. My eldest started here as summer camper and begs me not to pick her up every day.

The staff is really attentive and nice.

This school is a GREAT school. My child has been here for over a year and it seems that the review below was written by someone who may not have ever had a child there. The reason I say this is because the Director's name is not spelt correctly nor does it speak to her abilities or work ethic.

I would have to say when I have asked or been told something by Mrs. Carlen that she not only accomplishes what I ask but, she follows up to make sure I am satisfied. I personally watch my child on the classroom camera live feed throughout the day and I have never felt that I have been told something un true. I have noticed a change in the teachers of the schools and they seem to be more experienced as the school grows. My child was in a younger classroom and because I felt my child was a little bored and the teachers seemed to be in need of more training I spoke with Mrs. Carlen....

Out of all the day cares my children and grandchildren have attended, this one is the cleanest and most well run. Families are always made to feel welcome. My grandson attends this daycare and loves it. He has made friends and learned many things. As a retired school teacher and administrator, I love that every age group has a defined curriculum where they can learn according to their age. This is definitely a learning center as the name says and not just your average daycare. My grandson loves to attend everyday and always has great things to say about what he is learning. I can also speak to the work environment. Mrs. Carlen is very attentive to all the needs of the students, the parents and the staff. This is a very positive place to work.
