Children's Lighthouse Raleigh

We love Children's Lighthouse of Raleigh! Our son has attended for nearly 2 years and we have found it to be a great experience. The teachers are kind, engaging with the children, and seem to enjoy their jobs (despite the challenges of COVID). We have loved every teacher our son has been with. I appreciate the events and activities that Children's Lighthouse hosts for the children and their families. It's fun that Children's Lighthouse even has treats to parents at dropoff for certain holidays! I would definitely recommend Children's Lighthouse to others. Read more >

My son started as an infant in Room 2 at Childrens Lighthouse in Raleigh when they first opened in 2017. He recently graduated from the prek program (Room 11). He’s made a ton of friends, had some good teachers, and is well prepared for kindergarten this fall. His teachers potty trained him easily when he was 2 by keeping the group of kids on a potty schedule. There was some staff turnover, more with younger toddlers, like most daycare centers. The owners of this center have been responsive to parent concerns and communicated well about changing guidelines to keep kids safe. Read more >

Children’s Lighthouse was our only experience with daycare and preschool. Our daughter attended the school for 1.5 years until she graduation and looked forward to going each day. We had nothing short of a stellar experience with Lighthouse Raleigh while our son was there. We toured many schools in the area and the facilities were clean, but warm and inviting, but most of all, the authenticity and caring nature of the staff made the REAL difference which made for an easy choice. What's more, the monthly tuition was actually lower than other less-than-stellar options we saw. Unfortunately, a move precipitated a school change but our little man always asks to go back and visit - he misses his teachers and remembers them fondly. Thank you and keep up the great work! I stayed at home with my son for his first seven months because I worried that there wasn’t a daycare out there that would give the level of care that I wanted for my son. Children’s lighthouse has far surpassed my expectations. The facility is so clean, he is loving the interaction with the other babies, the staff are so friendly and helpful, and his teachers go above and beyond to make sure all the babies are well taken care of. My little man is so happy because of the stellar care he gets day in and out from Ms. Arielle, Ms. LaRae, and Ms. Christina! You ladies are true angels! Highly recommend for those mommas like me who are having a hard time deciding if they want to go back to work or stay at home with the little one. Things that I love:

Extracurricular, Spanish vocabulary, outside activities, soccer shots, curriculum, differentiation (as available), friendly environment, my child is excited to be there and excited to talk about what she is doing when we pick her up. Communication from the teacher (daily). Camera access (I like to look in when my child has a rough night of sleep to see how they are doing). Our children have had a great experience at Children's Lighthouse and have learned so much! The teachers are enthusiastic and caring and they definitely communicate with the parents on a very regular basis, which I have heard is a huge plus compared to other centers. My daughter is 5.5 months old and is in Ms. Arielle's classroom. I was very nervous to leave her at daycare at first, but Ms. Arielle made me feel comfortable and listened to my concerns. It was mostly me being a nervous parent. My daughter is very social and loves going to daycare. She will go straight to her teacher and is on a very nice schedule. The thing I enjoy about Ms. Arielle the most is that she let's me know when my baby is changing and growing and helps keep me informed of what is happening while I am away at work. Our children have been at Lighthouse for a year now after previously being at a different daycare nearby. My husband and I were tentative about switching daycare; we were pretty unhappy with the daycare we were at, but feared they would all be the same and we would have moved our kids away from their friends just to be unhappy somewhere else. This has not been the case at all. We have not had a single regret about switching daycares. The front office/admin team are very friendly and professional and are always quick to answer any questions we have. They seem to really support their teachers as well, which is huge in helping keep turnover low. The food provided is nutritious and they have a great variety over the month. I can't begin to tell you how much we LOVE CLH. We placed our daughter in their care at only 7 weeks old. I was terrified. As a scared first time mom, I was amazed at how easy the transition from home to daycare was on our baby (and myself, especially with video access to the class and daily updates). The staff quickly welcomed her with open arms. Some might joke about our little Maddie being the "daycare baby" but the teachers seriously love our little girl and make this mama very comfortable and at ease each day. Children's Lighthouse was the 10th and final facility in the area that we visited and interviewed and they passed with flying colors! There was no shadow of doubt that this is where we should send our daughter because the comfort & trust was simply there from the very beginning. Everyone from the owners, directors, teachers and even the cafeteria staff were simply the best upon arrival - and the communication, transparency and support the last 8 months has been very consistent to our very first tour. My son is in the APK program and it has been such an amazing experience! His teachers are wonderful and know what it takes to care for a classroom full of 4/5 year olds. They are aware of where these children need to be academically and I am fully confident that they will help my son be ready for kindergarten next year. Children's Lighthouse has been nothing short of fabulous to work for these past 6 months. When I was on-boarded, I had only interned in other places, but the management teams made sure to walk me through everything I needed to know about becoming a teacher! Naturally, everywhere you go, there will be things that some people on the team enjoy more than others, but they really do a great job at accommodating to the best of their ability!
