Children's Lighthouse of Overland Park

We moved to the area about two years ago, in the middle of the school year, and were scrambling to find a before and after school care. Our son’s elementary school suggested Children’s Lighthouse, and we enrolled. He has loved every moment of before and after school care, and the fun things planned on both parents night out nights and no school days. Children’s Lighthouse always showed care, commitment, dedication, and love for our son. Unfortunately next year he won’t be attending due to our work schedules changing, and some other activities. We were saddened that he is leaving because of the friendships he has made. We highly suggest Children’s Lighthouse for anyone needing before and after school care. Loved the staff at CL OP and wish she’d been able to attend longer. We only stopped going due to a move to another area where drop off/pick up was not feasible.

Ms. Kat and Ms. Kari are the best! Talia loves them and has really opened up socially outside of school as well!

Being a new and single working mama I was so nervous for the day I’d have to get back to work and find reliable care for my son. Children’s Lighthouse has made the transition so much easier for me. His teachers are great and are so good about giving updates throughout the day on the portal. This makes it so nice for when I need to refer back and see when/what he ate last.

Bobby, the director, is super kind and so professional. She is always willing to listen to concerns/questions and provides quick, reliable, and supportive help!

I absolutely love that every time I walk into the building, my son is greeted by almost every staff member and that really warms my heart to know my son is cared for and recognized by all ❤️ Thank you for all that you do!!

The teachers/ staff at lighthouse are amazing !! My daughter loves going to daycare and is learning so much thanks to her amazing teachers!!!

The staff is amazing. Very welcoming. The place always smells good. Very sanitary. I've had the opportunity to meet wonderful people, great parents. My girls have been there for over a year now. They love their teachers. They treat them with kindness and so much love. I appreciate everything they do. I can't say thank you enough!

Our son has been part of the Children of Lighthouse OP program for the past 2.5 years, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. During this time, we’ve seen tremendous growth in his speech and cognitive skills, and the progress he’s made has been truly amazing. The program has also helped him develop valuable social skills that will benefit him well beyond the classroom. We are so grateful for the support, care, and dedication of the staff and highly recommend this program to other families.

Great place, staff is caring, and the kids love it there.

Son has been coming here since beginning of 2025. He has thrived since starting at a daycare center. They work well with him given his disabilities and are patient and understanding. All the teachers love his energetic energy. The Director Bobbi, is absolutely amazing in every way and so understanding. Really feel comfortable leaving my child in their care.

The teachers are amazing and so great with our daughter. Pay very good attention to her and her needs. They have amazing things for every holiday for parents and the kiddos. Great place and very trustworthy people!

My son has been doing amazing at this daycare. The staff there are supportive of his growth and development and are wonderful to work with.

My family loves Children's Lighthouse! Our child has been attending for about a year and we have had a great experience at this school. The teachers and director have been wonderful. There are lots of daily activities planned for the classrooms which are educational and fun. It really shows the care and dedication to the kids' continuing learning development. I would definitely recommend this school!

We are very happy with our experience at Children’s Lighthouse. I feel like they treat my babies like they are their own and they seem happy every day when we pick them up. Our boys love their teachers which is such a comfort. We love the fun activities the school does and how they incorporate the parents into the fun! I am pleased with curriculum and feel like my son’s are doing well with their milestones thanks to Children’s Lighthouse.

I love how much the staff at Children’s Lighthouse loves the kids. Every staff member we pass in the hallways greets my kids by name and it means so much to me that they feel loved and cared for when they’re at daycare. They have helped my older son through separation anxiety and he has grown so much in so many ways since he started attending 6 months ago. Very grateful for Children’s Lighthouse.

Our kids started a month ago and we’ve been very happy! I appreciate all the updates and pictures sent via the app. During drop off and pick up there are smiling staff members to greet you at the door. the staff members in both of my children’s classes have been patient, loving and willing to answer our questions. We have been very pleased with our experience so far.

Staff is truly engaged and attentive and caring and kind. Really experienced teachers who take pride in their work as they should. The Director runs a tight ship and it shows. Both my Daughters love everything about Children’s Lighthouse OP and so do I.

I love the teachers and the management here. They take care of our little one very well. I love the ability to watch my kid and the way the updates are posted about different activities throughout the day.
