Children's Lighthouse Jordan Ranch

I have waited a long time to write this review so I could be sure it was fair and an accurate reflection of my experience at the facility. So here it is. While our first visit to the center was not the best, my husband and I ultimately chose this school for our son because HE would not stop talking about going back.

We took him to visit several different schools in the area, this being the third visit, but he only spoke so ecstatically about this school. I have been teaching for 18 years and am certified to teach all grades. I know what to look for in a high quality program. Many preschools have circle time and structured routines, but my son has always been so excited to go to school and so enthusiastic about his day when I pick him up. Furthermore, I can clearly see that the work I have started with him at home is being continued in his classroom. His teachers are fantastic and very communicative. HE loves his teachers, as evidenced by his frequent mentions of what “Ms. Citi said” or “Ms. Janis said.” I initially worried about my son’s transition into this environment from a home daycare and all the things moms worry about, but having the camera system and frequent updates to the Procare system throughout the day ease my worry. I love the notifications. I love knowing.

At the end of every week, we get his homework folder full of all of the work my son has done for the week as well as homework to extend his learning. As a teacher, I love this. I love that he is being challenged. At only four years old my son is not only reading and doing simple math, he is regularly engaged in science, social studies, music, art, and other soft skills that will ensure his success in kindergarten next year. I love that he gets to play and just be a kid as well. Most importantly, I love that he wants to go back every single day. This school is consistent in practice and the staff deserve all the kudos in the world. As an educator, I am very happy that we chose to enroll our son at Children’s Lighthouse Jordan Ranch, but as a mom, I couldn’t be more satisfied.
