Cedar Point Recovery

Cedar Point Recovery is a phenomenal program. I learned all about addiction and this place changed my life. They kept me very busy while in treatment with a wide variety of classes along with other activities such as yoga, equine therapy, and acupuncture. The food was great and I put on some much needed weight. I made some friends with people that where in my group that still hold me accountable today. If you are struggling with addiction and looking for a way out I would recommend calling Cedar Point. It changed my life and my hope is that it will change yours.

This program provides CBT, in a structured environment full of loving wonderful caring staff. I was overwhelmed with support and provided everything I needed to focus on healing. There needs to be clarification for incoming patients about restrictions on phone and computer use, and clarification that Detox is not a set number of days, and is actually called stabilization. It created frustration for many patients.Patricia was my clinician and she was on top of things I needed, helped me navigate all the difficulties of being away from home and held my hand for a minute while I got my feet underneath me again. It is a great place to start your journey to recovery. The program director is efficient, her approach could be softened to less authoritarian.

I can’t say enough about this place. I researched multiple programs for over 2 weeks to find a treatment center for my brother. The staff took the time to talk with me for over an hour and answer my questions about the facility and addiction in general. In the beginning, my brother had a lot of fear and was hesitant to accept our help getting him into a program. The staff offered to take my brother and the rest of our family on a tour of the facility and introduced us to the team who would be treating him. The therapists and even the Clinical Director took the time to come out, introduce themselves and answer all of our questions.
I am grateful to say that my brother completed treatment and is still sober today. I haven’t seen him this happy in a very long time. If you are having difficulty finding help for your family member, I recommend calling Cedar Point Recovery.

My wife had struggled with her drinking for over 8 years and had been in and out of detox programs throughout Northern California. When she relapsed again, I was not sure what to do or if anything would ever help. I was referred to Cedar Point by another facility where she had previously detoxed and spoke to Cedar Point’s outreach coordinator who told me about the program and how they could help. I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure at first what they could do that no one else had and how long it would be after my wife returned home that she would relapse again. After working with the admissions folks, I drove her to their detox at 9:00 at night on a Saturday and they took her right in. She was upset and embarrassed but they welcomed her into the residence and comforted her. Thank you Cedar Point staff for all you did for my son. The program helped teach him how to manage his anxiety without getting high. He learned how to cope with stress without losing his temper and acting out. This was not his first time in treatment, so we were concerned it wouldn't last, but a year later he is still clean and sober. I think he is finally on the path to success.

I just completed the 45 day program for alcohol. Most of the staff is in recovery as well so they understand. Staff is great, food is good. Beware, housing will hit you with an $800 bill when you get towards the end of the program claiming "housing isnt covered by insurance". They hit everyone with the same line, not just me. The mens house is very clean and huge. You will have outings every Sunday, class Monday-Saturday 8 hours a day. NA basically every night. Sunday is your only day off. Very good place to do some recovery work.

This is a great facility to detox. The staff is extremely caring and professional.
The food is 5 star quality and delicious. They keep you full.
They have individual rooms, a pool and a jacuzzi.

I would reccomend this facility to any addict who it ready to seek help and gain control of your life again. The staff is wonderful. My clinician, Jackie Gonzales, was amazing! Best in the building by far. She gave me the tools I needed to find the right coping skills that works best for me. I learned how to take care of myself and love myself again, thanks to her. She never disappointed but called me out when necessary, the kick in the butt I needed.
When I first arrived I wasn't the easiest participant to deal with at the house. Dalila was very comforting and understanding. Once I realized "I get to" instead of "I have to" I was well on my way. My life was unmanageable prior to Cedar Point and they taught me how to regain control and enjoy life. They showed the road and I choose the path...to sobriety and I am loving life. Make the call.

My experience at Cedar Point Recovery was a true blessing from God. The program really makes you work on yourself and if you truly want to be clean and sober you will find it here. The staff was amazing my peeps in purple Rodney Aaron and Selena are the real deal and go above and beyond for the clients, they understand the hardship us clients are going through and are willing to help anyway needed. But like any place you have a few staff that don't understand the hardship and I feel that Aiden should incourage and not discourage anyone and realize it's a hard process to go through. Just wish she understood more of recovery and the process it takes. As for Mrs Colleen she runs an amazing house staff who do understand and Mrs Delilah is the best of the best approaches with care and respect no matter the situation. Today I celebrate freedom from active addiction because of Cedar Point Recovery.
