I didn’t want to go to rehab. Not at all. My family surprised me with an intervention and told me that if I did not get help that they would financially cut me off. I went but I was really angry at first and took it out on the staff at detox. Even though I wasn’t very nice to them, they hung in there and told me it was going to be ok. The medications helped and the nurses were always checking on me to see how I was doing. I was in detox for a little over a week and was able to get some much needed rest. The chefs made really good meals for us and it was nice to have some healthy food for a change. I knew I had to do rehab after detox, still didn’t want to go but knew I had to.
