My mother lived in Ocala and we needed to move her into an independent living facility north of Atlanta. Both myself and my brother live outside the state of Florida. We hired Ronnie and Pam (Caring Transitions) to handle this move. We could not have done this without them! They handled everything from the packing, moving and setup of things in her new apartment to selling and handling items that were not moved. They also cleaned the house for the closing of her home. They were able to meet an extremely short deadline (next day; when my mom was discharged from the hospital) for the move of my parents from assisted living to memory care in The Villages. They packed, cleaned, moved, unpacked and setup everything, keeping me informed of the details along the way and upon completion. Their kindness, respect and consideration can be felt in all they do. At the very last moment, the hospital determined on a Monday that our mother would be released on that Friday. We had 3 days to pack up her life in independent living, and move her to assisted living ready to start her post stroke life. Calling Caring Transitions that Monday night, Ronnie and his wife rearranged their schedules, their personnel, and their lives to assist us. They packed, moved, unpacked and set everything up so when mom came home to her new place on Friday, she was surrounded by her own furniture and things. First I would like to say is that Pam and Ronnie are fantastic and caring individuals. If it wasn't for them I don't think I could have moved my father to the villages before the closing date on his home.

So, here is why I highly recommend using them if you have to move a loved one to an assisted/independent living community. My father lost his wife back in December. In March he sold his house and had till the middle of June to be out of his house. When I arrived to help my father move it became very apparent that he had not done much to prepare. After spending 3 days in the garage my wife recommended we hire someone to help. I didn't have time to research it. Caring transitions of The Villages just very successfully coordinated and assisted in the move of my aging parents from The Villages to NC. Not a single thing got broken, was lost , nor misplaced.
