Brain Balance of Edwardsville

Our experience was 10/10, would recommend! We were a bit hesitant to do this because of the price but it was recommended to us by my husband's therapist at the time. Then we found out we have a distant family member that had a child that did the program and then found one more family that someone else in the family knew. We decided to take the plunge and are forever grateful we did! We know nothing is a 100 percent fix all but we went into it with the mindset that if it helped our child even 50 percent, it would be worth it. It was even better than 50 percent! This program is not for the faint of heart though, this was one of the most challenging things we have ever done as a family. I think Brain Balance helped as a stepping stone for my future. It was an experience that built me to be able to tackle future challenges. I very much appreciate the experience.

Best decision we made for our 12 yo daughter!!! Based on the initial assessment she was learning at a 6 yo level. After her hard work and dedication she is learning at a 12.6 yo now. Before Brain Balance school was very difficult for her and her grades reflected that. After getting B, C, and Ds, she is now making straight As and breezing through her homework.

We have loved our experience at Brain Balance. The coaches are great and the program works if you put in the effort. We still have a little ways to go but have already begun to see improvements.

Brain Balance has changed not only our son's life but our whole family! Our son was just turning 10 when we found Brain Balance, he had no balance, social and emotional issues and no coordination. We can say today that our son has completed the program and those issues are gone. His quality of life is completely changed because of Brain Balance. We have done the in person and online program and I cannot begin to to explain how supportive the staff was to our family! They are amazing! One of my students attended Brain Balance 7 years ago as a 9 year old. I saw his grades jump dramatically. He also had amazing improvements in social skills, motor skills, and general awareness of the world. He is now 16 years old. He is about to get a driver's licence, on the A Honor Roll at school consistently without a classroom aid, and has held a detasseling job for 3 years receiving 2 promotions for excellent work. His future is bright and his parents are so thankful for Brain Balance!

first off, if you’re thinking about doing this for your child, do not hesitate. This program is hard, but if you put in the work and you’re determined to finish for your child..... His/her life will forever be changed. My son walked into brain balance in August, and we could not even take him to public places. He had no communication skills, he screamed and yelled because nobody understood him, he wanted nothing to do with his new baby brother. Wednesday he walked out of there a totally different child. he is confident, he loves to talk (even though we can’t always understand him), LOVES his brother! and Enjoys his life every day way more than he did before. thank you so much Pam, Kim, Megan, Andrea. Just a few names that stick out in my mind. I will forever be thankful for you guys!

When my grandson started Brain Balance he was arguing and complaining about nearly everything. By reading about BB I learned that he was not choosing to misbehave as much as he was lacking in essential behaviors that he never learned. Even the foods he ate contributed to this imbalance! While coming to BB he has calmed down immensely. He seldom argues and has learned to discuss problems, sometimes even offering alternative suggestions that make sense to me. I have learned to read signals whenever he is having a bad day. BB has allowed him to learn to be the 9-year-old that he actually is. His motor skills are better and he doesn't get frustrated and angry like he used to.

Brain balance helped my son tremendously. While not inexpensive, the value of the changes are definitely worth it. It is a commitment. But has changed our lives and family dynamic for the better. He used to be sent home from school all the time, fight with adults and family, hate going outside and exercising. He is much better in all areas he was lacking in. He had more confindence, more friends, and better grades. Priceless.

My wife and I cannot express enough gratitude towards the staff members at Brain Balance. It's been an amazing journey and our son has gained so much since he started the program. It's the first time someone had been able to quantify and explain why our son had deficits in certain areas and he has really shown improvements where he had been lacking before.

I'm so happy I found Lori and her team at Brain Balance. They have helped our 8 year old daughter tremendously!! She is in better control of her body awareness and emotions!! Her sensory processes are sooo much better! Which makes for way less tantrums. I'm so glad we found a solution for our daughter!!!

Brain Balance is a blessing from God to our family. Our son has made many dramatic changes. No longer does he have meltdowns every day. He is able to be sad and have empathy, whereas before he was mostly angry.

I would highly recommend Brain Balance to any parents who have a child/children suffering from depression/anxiety or ADHD! My oldest child was previously hospitalized for severe depression and a chemical imbalance from her medications! She is currently med free and is doing remarkably! My youngest child struggled in school on a daily basis due to ADHD and was seeking one on one tutoring in her classes! She is currently med free, able to concentrate and no longer has to be taken outside of class for individual attention!

Coaches and Directors are top notch. My daughter who is 14 now went there at age 10. She was on 5 meds and was off them thanks to BB. 4 years later she's still doing fantastic. 😀

The tag line for Brain Balance is "Brain Balance Changed Our Lives." Well, its true. Our youngest daughter was diagnosed with Aspergers and ADHD and PDD and was put on medication for the ADHD. Within about 6 weeks of being in the program she was taken off her ADHD medication. She had an IEP but that ended last year. She now has a 504 in place as she still needs a break every now and again.

She went through 3 rounds and is a literally different person and continues to improve. Now at 14 she is active in our church youth, helps with the younger kids, and most recently became a CIT at our area YMCA Summer Camp.

If you feel there is no hope, call Brain Balance TODAY!! If they can help your child they will do all they can to make it work. The staff is pretty amazing as well!

The staff has been very professional and helpful while working with our son. He has improved greatly with his social skills and overall confidence in himself. He is focusing more during school. He is more independent, needing fewer prompts making it.easier on the whole family. His overall behavior is much better and he expresses his feelings better.
