Beyond The Classroom

Our son absolutely loved Camp BTC last summer and he has been talking about the camp ever since.

Communicative and responsive staff, an engaging and a hands on curriculum and weekly field trips have made Camp BTC an incredible experience for our son!

We have re-enrolled him for another summer and are looking forward to many more camps at BTC to come!

My kids are having so much fun at BTC! I love all the fun activities they do and the staff is really nice and sweet. We had a great time at Summer Camp and appreciate all the fun activities and kind counselors so much. Thank you for a memorable summer !

We feel so incredibly lucky to be a part of this amazing community. I always know our kids are cared for and adored, listened to and learning how to be good friends and thoughtful humans. So much thanks to the staff for giving so much of yourself- it shows in so many ways.

My son absolutely adores BTC. This year was his first camp experience and it felt like a family. They took such great care of him and he looked forward to going every day. Very thankful to them for creative a safe and fun environment for our children.

I can’t say enough great things about BTC! Both of my elementary school aged children are enrolled and I’m so grateful that the program exists. They provide a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for kids after school (and in their summer program)! I especially appreciate the focus on social-emotional learning with the entire staff, and especially the director, Samantha, that are so dedicated to developing a passion for learning and also a space for community building. BTC truly creates enriching experiences through different opportunities, activities, and classes that are increasingly/unfortunately left out of the normal school curriculum.

Great program. Unconventional; especially their focus on EQ not just IQ, and intrinsic over extrinsic. Very centered on the whole child, social and emotional learning, mental, physical, and emotional development and regulation, creative and emotional expression, etc. If you're looking for a place that is super structured and academics prioritized this in not the center for you. They're trying to make our children happier, healthier, little human beings. Very much a small homey family business feel, not sterile capitalistic cog feel. The parents, teachers, and directors truly care, and it shows.

My daughter went to summer school for nearly two months, and everyone was kind and my child liked it. It seemed to be made up of volunteers, but it didn't matter much. There were not many people, so it was family and I felt like the teacher and the children knew each other well. The facility was somewhat disappointing, but the child enjoyed going around, and my daughter said she wanted to go again next year.

Btc was an awesome part of my childhood and all the workers shaped who I am today. I came back to volunteer and was greeted with the same welcoming staff. The kids are incredibly kind and many of them were so sad to see their favorite volunteers go at our annual sleepover.

As a BTC alumni of 6 years, looking back I can confidently say that those six years were some of the best I’ve ever had. Beyond the Classroom was a great place for me to make friends and hangout after school, and it’s where I met my best friend of 11 years! We would do crafts and homework and play, and in the summer we would go on amazing field trips. I love BTC so much that this past summer, I spent a bunch of hours volunteering and helping out just so I could make sure other kids could experience the same thing I did when I went to BTC. I totally recommend!
