Finding the right apartment became an easy process with the help of the leasing consultant my mom and I worked with at Atlas Property Group. After touring several units, I was able to find the one that was just right for me at 363 6th Street. The staff were very helpful throughout the process of signing the lease and moving in, which I am definitely grateful for. As for the building that I moved into, I really like it. There are thick walls and ceilings, so I never have to worry about hearing noisy neighbors. The roof is enjoyable to be on, especially at sunrise and sunset when the view is particularly beautiful. I don’t own a pet, but I appreciate that the building is pet-friendly because I love to see people bring their adorable dogs to the outdoor area on the first floor, another one of my favourite spots. Something that I also appreciate about this property group is their ability to appeal to the zeitgeist of 2021 San Francisco. This is a very stressful time for everyone, and I am no exception. As someone with OCD and severe anxiety, I really appreciate the mask policy and the prolific maintenance team; as someone with ADHD, I think that the digital and code-based system for entering the building and the units is really helpful since I’m bound to lose every key I’m given. Something that most people can relate to is the need for outlets, something that I couldn’t imagine being an issue for me here. My unit is a studio, but it has more power sources than I could ever need. My family lives in the East Bay, but we have an apartment is San Francisco that we like to compare to this one to. Unlike the building I now live in, their’s is struggling to keep up with the needs of tenants in this day and age, something that I thankfully don’t have to deal with. I understand the charm of classic SF buildings, but they especially lack practicality in a time like this and can’t offer the same amenities that I get in my building.
