My dad had a hip replacement and I went to tour this place out. I was very impressed when I saw a nurse helping a man in a wheelchair, I couldn’t hear what he asked her but she gave him a big hug and comforted him. I continued my tour to continue to see the care and the interaction with the patients as I was being led down each hall way. Dad has been there for a few days and he says they are all very precessional and care! That says a lot. I would recommend this place to any long term or short term for rehabilitation.

I recently toured the building and was impressed it how friendly everyone was. Got to visit with some of the therapist and they were very knowledgeable. A very pleasant experience.

It’s pretty obvious once you talk with the Director of Nursing, Carol, and the Administrator, Chris, that Medical Lodge of Amarillo is where you’ll want to place your loved one. They know what they’re doing and are solid leaders you can work with. They’re best at short-term stays for rehab and nursing before returning to live at home. I can recommend them with confidence.
