tl;dr: Left a bunch of stuff behind, showed up without warning, destroyed a number of rather expensive objects.

Very negative experience with this company. They got everything packed up successfully, but when they got here the dispatch didn't bother to call me to let me know they'd be here (this is after me calling them once a day for a week asking when they'd finally arrive). Had to run home in the middle of the workday to let them in.

Once my stuff here, there was a lot of small scale damage. An antique bookcase was badly scraped; an original painting had been put in a box with coat hangers, which had punctured it multiple times. A pair of shoes had been put in a box with a lot of sharp, angular things and been shredded.

The crew at both ends (Morgan Hill, CA and Surprise, AZ) and driver Rodnick were great. Overall a good experience and we would recommend ACE relocation services. I have let our realtor (who had originally recommended ACE) that all went well and we were happy with her recommendation.

I am not happy with having to put this poor rating however moving is stressful enough whether it is next door or to another country. We moved to Italy from Morgan Hill, California, hiring a moving company so we didn't have to think about the details. Hence a list of items not allowed or items a company is just not willing to ship related to liability issues. Thanks to Ace we are now having to pay lawful charges, destruction charges, penalty charges, and loss of property, ie; antique firearm that is non-op a sentimental gift and an heirloom in addition some airsoft bb guns. Inquiries from day one were asked about these specific items including on packing day.
Ace, you are the professionals and why you are in business in the first place, supposedly! please look for small claims adjustment as you have caused undue stress as these items are completely illegal to bring into the... Read more >

Crew showed up to move me out of my old apartment apartment late. Damaged the elevator lobby in my old building resulting in me being charged. Can't file a claim after the move day, so you have to file a small claim in court to get any kind of reimbursement.

Move in day at new apartment. Guy called me 20 minutes after the arrival window to tell me it would be at LEAST 2 more hours until he got to my apartment.

Definitely fake 5 star reveiws. No one I've spoken to has had a good experience with them, at least 10 or more people from my company. They really deserve a 0 star.
Promised a delivery on a certain range of dates, they don't even bother letting you know. Wait to ensure they can squeeze 1 more package in the truck and then deliver on a date which they knew we weren't going to be there. And then blame us and expect us to wait another 10 days to deliver. Stay away. I've used United a few times with absolutely no problems and it was during the same time period. Read more >

Wish I could give a -ve rating for these guys. These people took 1 month to ship our stuff from CA to TX and never gave an update on where our stuff is. And when the items arrived we got to know that they misplaced our 3 seater sofa. I am surprised as how could they misplace a 3 seater SOFA which is such a big piece in itself. They broke our speaker stands too. Filing claims from insurance company is not always a solution as getting claim is a lengthy process and it is not speedy at all. It takes time and a lot of effort to find a couch which you like to be part of your living room. I would not recommend their service to anyone. big NO!!!! Chris, Steve, Cindy, and everyone who had a hand in our move were spectacular. They were professional, efficient, hard-working, creative and quick-thinking, compassionate (I was coordinating with donation pickups and even a plumber as they started), personable - and even had great tastes in music to which they worked.

The team Steve and Cindy had on the packing end was matched in every way by the team at our destination.

I felt a complete sense of trust in their work and was so impressed by how they managed everything from bringing a several-hundred pound safe up the mountain ridge from our basement to wrapping up Depression glassware from my grandparents' wedding. I was also impressed that the truck was spotless on both ends of the move. (My Unminivan was covered with road dirt from driving the distance, which included snow in Portland.)
