My family has been with AKW for over a year and we absolutely love it there. All of the teachers are so kind and love the kiddos like their own. They are always working on fun lessons by utilizing arts and crafts, learning new songs & dances !

The front desk and admin staff are so friendly and know all the kids by name and always helpful and kind.

We love the chef and his rotating menus of fresh and locally sourced products. You can tell he has a true passion for food and loves providing healthy and nutritious meals for the kids.

I appreciate how AKW hosts events for the whole family from farm to table cooking events, fall festivals & spring flings to muffins with Mom for Mother’s Day and doughnuts with dad for Father’s Day.

My kids, both 10 and 7, have been going to this daycare since they were very young. Going on 9ish years all together. My girls love going there and are always happy to tell me about their days. The most I can give is 3 stars. I felt lied to just so i can enroll my kids. Suddenly my 3y/o bites and while we are trying to figure out why i hear that it is possibly learned behavior from a peer. I have worked in the childcare field, so i know what to expect. I have spoken with Kristyn(not sure if i slaughtered her name) and she seems to say they have addressed m concerns. There are pros and cons. The chef is extremely skilled & kind. I love the WatchMeGrow camera access. Kiwis teachers are super patient and friendly with my boy who hates leaving mommy’s side and he is now adjusting. This is the first daycare he likes so i want to keep him here. My son attended this day care for about 3 weeks months ago and I wasn’t going to write a review initially because on one hand I can understand the decision making but another part of me feels that when it comes to children especially as young as 3 there should be a level of patience giving and I feel this day care especially the director did not have enough patience towards my son. As I stated he attended this day care for 3 weeks, before this daycare I pulled him out of another school he had been going to for 2 years because they started to treat my son poorly physically and emotionally after management was changed. Leaving that school he came with a few habit, such as biting from time to time and hitting. I have had the pleasure of being a part of AKW for almost two years first as a chef and now as the Farm To ECE culinary coordinator and it truly has been one of the best work experiences in my career! I love watching the children try the new vegetables we offer them and that they have helped grow right there at our very own center and all the fresh beef we get from a local cattle farm. The administration is definitely top notch, supportive, proactive and so easy to work with and for! Our teachers are amazing show so much love and compassion to all the sweet children in their care! Please stay far away from this school!! My daughter has had several scratches to her face, and some of the accidents were not reported! This school came highly recommend from a Mom group, and now I wouldn’t let them watch my dog. My child looks like she was abused, and I will be filing a case for child neglect immediately! You should close your doors!! I was told several times that the kids would be separated and the accidents keep occurring. If you have violent kids in the dragonfruit class then they should be removed. I will make sure all the parents are aware of what is taking place in this school. My now 2 year old, started A Kids World (AKW ) when he was 1 year old. He had a hard transition from being with mom all day when he first started daycare . However, with AKW amazing team/teachers (Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Heather, Ms. Gabriella. Ms. Anahi ) he is adjusting just fine. I have the pleasure to be a part of AKW as a mom and ex staff. AKW admin team is always kind, helpful, proactive and supportive. I have seen teachers giving it all for all the little ones and bringing the spark to their classrooms.
I have seen all the great meals the chefs prepare for the little ones with fresh products.
I have seen the smiles in the kids faces when learning in the nature playground, the garden, the chicken coop, doing yoga or sharing with Ms Lady bug. I have seen first hand how much kindness is spread through out the whole center by every staff member every single day. I worked at AKW for about 2 years. The 2 years I was there it didn't feel like work. Everything from the family atmosphere, To the top notch care they provide for all children makes it a stand out among any other child care facility. I was extremely interested because of the farm to Ece standard. As a chef it allowed me to introduce foods at an early age that many children do not experience. Normally if you don't eat Brussel sprouts before the age of 13 it is unlikely that you will try them. And guess what they also had... A garden which allowed children to participate in growing their own food! Children are more likely to try a vegetable they had a part in growing. We have been a part of A Kids World for a year and a half and absolutely love it. Both of my children are thriving and learning, as this is more than a daycare. It is truly a learning center, and my children are learning both academically and socially. My son is in the Pre-K program and loves his teachers. Ms. Ashley shows incredible compassion and communicates with parents in a timely and efficient manner from daily check ins to newsletters and upcoming events. The PreK program values hands-on learning by bringing field trips to the school for things like Yoga and Health M Powers and has a garden on-site with chickens as well. Unfortunately, my son has had some negative experiences in daycare in the past, and as a parent, I was nervous to start a new school. I am disappointed with the lack of incident reports and untrained staff for the after school program at the Covington location. They are understaffed and the management lacks the experience and customer service and organization skills needed to support concerned parents. My daugther had been complaining about the teacher since summer camp; several complaints go unheard. They lack a service mindset; toxic environment for my child. The final remedy was to discount fees as an apology for misunderstanding and unheard complaints of a difficult teacher who is taking her frustration of overcrowded classroom and lack of support out on the children.
