As a parent, choosing a daycare is never easy—especially after 15 years. I was nervous about starting this journey again with my son, Loyal, but from the moment I walked into Wilcox Academy, my worries started to fade.

The warmth and professionalism of the staff, especially his teachers, Tirelle and Demonni, made all the difference. They took the time to answer my questions, reassure me, and, most importantly, show genuine care for Loyal’s happiness and development. Seeing him learn new things, like clapping and waving goodbye, has been such a joy. Each day, he comes home smiling, and I know he’s in a place where he is loved and supported.

I’m beyond grateful for the nurturing environment Wilcox Academy provides. If you’re looking for a daycare where your child will be cared for like family, I highly recommend them!

I moved to New Orleans in December 2022 from Washington, DC. I was happy that Wilcox Academy had a spot for my daughter who had not yet turned 1. My daughter is now 3-years-old and I’ve seen so much growth. She took her first steps at Wilcox and each day I’m amazed at her progress. She knows the alphabet, her numbers, her colors and loves singing “Let it Go” from the movie Frozen. Students are given healthy meals and snacks. But what I think I am most impressed with is the values that the teachers and directors instill in the students at Wilcox. My daughter says “Excuse Me” “Please” “Thank You” and “You’re Welcome.” She really likes her teachers and is learning about positive social interaction with her classmates. I appreciate the supportive and nurturing environment that Wilcox provides for its students.

I absolutely love Wilcox! My oldest two sons went here and I loved it so much that when it was time to apply for my youngest, Wilcox was the only school I would put on the list. OneApp kept telling me there were other schools with openings, but I did not care! I waited for an opening and I’m so happy I did. They are professional, but personable and communication is excellent. These ladies really went above and beyond for my oldest when he had a seizure, which I can never repay them for! My kids learn so much from here because everyone is passionate about what they do!

I love Wilcox. My daughter has learned so much since she has been there it is unbelievable. The staff is super friendly and I feel very safe leaving my child in their hands. :)

I truly love this environment, great staff, Mr & Mrs Wilcox are wonderful people to be employed with. This is a great place to find workplace opportunities in Early Childcare and growth in this field. This is a true family based organization I love it here

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ms. Danielle and Ms.Lorielle. From the moment my child started in their class, it was clear that these two are not just teachers—they are truly passionate educators who care deeply about their students.

Their patience is unmatched. They take the time to listen to every child, making each one feel valued and heard. My child has grown so much under their guidance, not only academically but also socially and emotionally.

Both ladies have such a warm and nurturing approach, always creating a welcoming environment where the children feel safe and excited to learn. They also bring incredible energy and creativity to the classroom, making every activity engaging and fun.

Together, they are a dream team! Their ability to work collaboratively and maintain such a positive and structured environment speaks volumes...
