We love Weinackers Montessori School (hillcrest location) because the one on one attention our son has received since starting there has been wonderful and the amount of care the staff all shows him has been above and beyond. Everyday he wakes up excited to go to school. He has learned so much in just a little over a year since he has been there. I love Weinacker’s Montessori school and the positive effect it has had on my child. This is a great school because of the teachers’ sincere concern for my child’s well-being, both educational and emotional. My child has blossomed in their care and transformed from an aggressive loaner to a social participant. We have always felt welcomed and well-informed throughout these past 2 years. I can leave my child here with true comfort that he will be treated very well. This is a great school with a nurturing and practical approach that fosters mental and emotional growth in young children. I’ve never felt judged or singled out. We are at Weinackers (Learn Play Grow) off of Georgian Ave. and our 3-year-old loves it! She is doing very well, and half of the time she'd rather stay and play with her friends and teachers then come home😂. We love their approach to getting her ready for "big girl school" and highly recommend! Read more >

I like the people a lot. Everyone seems to truly care about a like my daughter. I think some of the inside "work" needs to be updated, some is pretty worn. Also, the playground area needs a major overhaul, especially the toddler area, there is hardly any shade and it sort of looks like a sad place where old toys went to die. I'd like to start a fundraising campaign for this and maybe there is some school funding that could be put towards this. Outdoor time is a very important part of kids days and I think they should have shade from the harsh AL sun and not have to have dirt and mulch all over them while doing it. Also, lots of times flyers are put up about upcoming events which is great, but many times they don't include times and which age group they are for. Read more >
