Walnut Grove RV Park

Walnut Grove RV Park was a wonderful place for us for 6 1/2 weeks. Combine the C. Virus and KU Hospital being shut down to everyone but the patient, we were faced with two, 100 mile round trips a day for radiation treatments. We found Walnut Grove RV Park on the internet. One call and we were sold. We wanted a safe place to leave our camper; our stay would be the 6 hours between treatments, then go home each night. The park was quiet and clean. Spaces were tight and rough. There were holes and not level. However, the woman that checked us in was VERY helpful. The young man we dealt with there was also friendly and went above and beyond in answering questions about the park and surroundings.
We made a phone reservation, after hours, and was called back that same evening. We were surprised and impressed. We would definitely stay there again.

Walnut Grove has a really great location for visiting Johnson County and still be close on I-35 to downtown Kansas City. Aaron and Nancy could not have been more gracious and helpful during our brief stay. Our only suggestion is to lay down more gravel or chat in the RV sites. We were in site 410 and it got quite muddy following an overnight rain. It was not possible to enter or exit our RV without getting our shoes muddy.

We were very appreciative for an RV within 15 miles in town to our daughter's home! Set in a suburban neighborhood, we found this small RV park clean, staff member Jessica was so friendly and helpful, and reasonably priced. Challenges were around the bathrooms; while they were very clean, only 1 person or family can use at same time, making wait times longer than most park facilities. Weekends were fine, but both Monday and Tuesday the hot water for showers was depleted. We will stay here again on our next visit.
