Voyagers' Community School

My daughter is really liking her time at voyagers. She is excited to go to school and comes home everyday excited to share what she did that day.

Voyager's Community Schools is a wonderful, nurturing environment that allows kids to learn in connection to the physical reality. Both of my kids can make movies, cook, do wood working, robotics, learn sign language and so many more fun activities that I can't fit on one page. This is a place that keeps moving forward every year and allows the kids to do the same. Over a period of time, both of my kids made so many good friends and this is something that you cannot find everywhere. Hats off to the founder and the staff of this school for creating something wonderful.

My son spent several years of middle school as a student of Voyager's Community School while professionally pursuing his passion for acting . Without his time at Voyager's and the support from his teachers and friendships made, he would not have the self-confidence, educational background, and resilience needed to transition to college for a degree in acting and be a working young adult actor.

My daughter is starting her third year at Voyagers' Community School. It is a one of a kind school that encourages children to be children, explore and learn, have fun and create bonds with their peers as well as older and younger students. I would highly recommend it to any parent looking to provide the best opportunity for their child to thrive.

We are so happy that we chose Voyagers for our daughter. Their individualized approach and concern for the whole child means that she is developing a strong sense of self as well as a strong academic foundation. Equally important to us, though, is the fact that Voyagers instills in children the importance of community and the need to think and care about the world outside of school too. They are not only teaching students - they are developing engaged citizens. And the best part is that we have a child who absolutely loves school and loves to learn . . . just as it should be!

The school is good in terms of content education, however the schools faculty and staff are not at all diverse which has a negative impact on everyone involved with the school from administration to students. The school's desire to communicate is admirable, but doing so through specific apps can be burdensome and clogs my inbox.

Voyagers’ has been a wonderful place for Emerson to learn to explore the world around him. Learning to interact with others not only in his age group is a unique benefit that we feel is really important & hugely impactful. The teachers have all been amazing; they are very patient, calm & warm in demeanor. Drop off was much easier knowing he was being taken care of by a really great, caring group of teachers. Voyagers creates a wonderful environment for children to explore & learn in a fun & natural way. We wish we didn’t have to leave but are thankful for the short time Emerson was able to attend Voyagers - We’ll miss everybody & we know Emerson will too.

The experience of taking a college class in high school was incredibly unique and valuable. While in most public high school's, teachers seem to often try and scare their students about what college will actually be like to get the students to work harder. In taking this class at Brookdale, I did not experience the terrifyingly strict and competitive atmosphere so many teachers described, but instead a tough, yet fair learning experience from someone who is an expert in the class' field. I would like to thank Voyagers Community School for giving me this opportunity.

Sending our son to Voyagers' Community School is the best decision we could have made for our him (and us!) He was 19 months old when he started, and right away we could see that this would be an experience that was above and beyond a regular daycare situation. This isn't just a school - it truly is a community. The entire staff and all of the older students know him by name, know his favorite activities and care for him like an extension of our own family. We are so grateful to his teachers and caregivers that work tirelessly to create a fun, safe, stimulating environment for each individual child. Because of this attention, he's grown by leaps and bounds this year. But perhaps the best testimony is his sheer excitement when arriving at Voyagers' each morning - he can't wait to start his day!
