I contacted Orlando Roofing Company for a roof replacement estimate on a 27 year old roof in 2018. Never got the estimate, but got sold to signing an AOB with them to “fight the insurance company” to cover the roof replacement on the grounds of hail damage. In hindsight, the hail damage pictures that Tom showed me were probably from another roof considering my old metal TV Dish lacked any serious hail dents.
Fast-forward 1 year after a lengthy appraisal process with insurance—the umpire of the case awarded funds to cover interior damage, but $0 for the roof.
Frank gets attorney fees paid whether an insurance case is won or lost thanks to the “one-way attorney fee” provision section 627.428 F.S. before the AOB Reform Bill effective 7/1/2019, which did away with the loophole that caused massive amounts of AOB abuse cases in Florida by contractors.
