The Learning Tree North

When I tell you I adore Cathy D., it’s an understatement! Our family initially met Cathy when she was working at The Learning Experience. When she and her partner, Rita, made the decision to change daycares I immediately asked if we could follow them. Thankfully they said yes as we couldn’t imagine losing them - they are a dynamic duo! Both Cathy & Rita made our child’s (and our) transition entirely seamless. This was especially important given all the change our family was experiencing (a move from Chicago, switch from nanny to daycare, new jobs and more!). Cathy continuously finds ways to keep our son stimulated throughout the day with her creativity and craft ideas. Her use of sensory materials ensures all the crafts are not only fun, but educational as well! My daughter just finished her last day at The Learning Tree. She has been there since she was 3 months old. Everyone is great but her teacher Mr. John in PreK 1 amazing. He is great at what he does!

The front dask staff, both nikki and kim are amazing and personal! Kim takes the time to step out of the office to greet the children when they come in. Nikki is so personal, she knows all the kids by name and really enjoys what she does. Ms. Kim is my daughter's teacher and she is out of this world. Both pretty and kind! I made the best decision by sending my daughter here.

We LOVE the Learning Tree! My daughter (now 8) attended the Learning Tree from Infant thru Pre-K and my son (now 10 months old) has been in the Infant room for 7 months. The curriculum at the school is great. The kids are actually learning and not just being babysat. I always feel that my child is in good hands at the Learning Tree. I like that this particular center is in an old elementary school building. I think that made the transition for my daughter much easier.

The communication from the Learning Tree staff via daily emails and app updates are amazing! As a parent you always know what's going on in your child's classroom.

My daughter started at learning tree north when she was about 8 months old. We like the spacious classrooms, organic food and cleaning system there. It took a while for my daughter to move up from infant to toddler program due to the popularity of toddler program in this area. Now my daughter is at Toddler 3 classroom right now. She is so happy every day with Ms. Jeanie, Ms. Kyrie and Ms. Ashley. They have so many activities every day, such as message board, story time, painting and water table etc. The only concern for me is the turn over rate of the teachers but this seems normal to many child care centers. Other than that, my daughter loves going to school and has lots of fun with teachers and other kids.

My granddaughter goes to The Learning Tree North. She has learned so much in just one year by going 2 days a week. She loves her teachers, Miss Bella and all the staff have been GREAT. Everyone and everything at The Learning Tree is great. They love what they do.

I can’t say anything negative about Ms. Ashley! My daughter (now 7) had Ms. Ashley back when she was 3-4 years old and we absolutely loved her! She’s very easy to talk to and an excellent teacher to the kids! One of my favorite things about her is that she loves the kids like they are her own. I was so excited to find out that my 4-year old son was just placed in her Pre-K classroom. I know he will be in great hands!

My daughter has been at The Learning Tree a little over ten months. From the day we toured with Kim we felt comfortable that our daughter was in safe hands each and every day. The classrooms are well organized and the healthy meals and snacks are a bonus.

Miss Kim and Miss Ashley were excellent as her infant teachers. They made the room so warm and inviting, that she was excited to be dropped off each day. Drop offs were much harder for me than for her. They helped her achieve all her milestones to the point where, and this might be a biased dad talking, that I felt like she was ahead of kids her age that went to other daycares.

Overall, I think The Learning Tree has gone a great job taking care of my daughter and I look forward to bringing her back in August.

My daughter has been attending for two years now and we just love this place. The staff does done an amazing job and I'm very hard to please. I remember when I first started looking for child care...I ended my search after my tour at the The Learning Tree because they met my expectations above and beyond. There are so many reasons why I love this place:
*Kim Avendt, the director, she is such as amazing woman. She's welcoming, responsive and compassionate. She is on top of everything! She is definitely the center's secret weapon. She is always fresh and energetic and she will answer any questions you have.
*The curriculum. Yes, even at a very young, The Learning Tree has a curriculum that will ignite your child's mind.
*The nutrition. Organic meals prepared daily by dedicated chefs, ON SITE! How wonderful is that??!! Even if you aren't into the organic foods thing,...
