The Goddard School of Herndon

My son (2yo) has been going to The Goddard School in Herndon for the past 4 months and I can not say enough kind words about the school. When we were looking for the perfect school for our son, we wanted somewhere that focused on not only education, but also making a genuine connection between the staff and our family. We found this very quickly with The Goddard School. They focus on making learning enjoyable through their FLEX program. My son comes home showing us new things he has learned every day (including yoga and sign language)! We also get a personalized report (and picture!) on what he did each and every day. The staff really cares about his individual growth and development and it shows. The owner even takes the time to get to know each family and child. I highly recommend The Goddard School!

In November 2015 we enrolled in The Goddard School Herndon. My family takes child care and the care of our loved ones very seriously. They are an extension of our family. There must be trust, open communication, understanding and honesty and love to make this relationship work. I can truly say that we have found that here at The Goddard School of Herndon. We very much enjoy the FLEX and STEM learning curriculum, wonderful and caring staff, the abundance of learning activities and happiness of the children.

As our daughter has grown over the past year, she continues to be engaged in learning and reaching (and exceeding) her milestones for her age group. The teachers are and have always been wonderful. Any time of day I can talk to them about things she is learning or doing at home, fun things we enjoy outside of school...

Since our daughter started in the first steps room over a year ago, our experience with the Goddard School has been nothing short of exceptional. The teachers are extremely warm and caring. Our daughter even includes her current teachers in her list of "best friends"! The progress she has made over the last year is amazing. From learning to count to potty training, the teachers have helped every step of the way. She is also learning sign language and yoga and teaches it to us at home. Beyond the teachers, the other staff is also amazing. Before we leave school every night, our daughter peeks into both the owner, Ms. Shifali's office, as well as the Directors' office (Ms. Lola and Ms. Amanda) to say goodbye and give hugs. Our daughter has been at the Goddard School in Herndon for a year and half now (she's now 3 and a half). We had a bad taste for daycare after our previous experience, so going in we had our reservations. The owner Shifali Saini sat us down, explained the program, we toured the school, discussed the curriculum (yeah curriculum, I know right, my kid was 1 1/2) walked us through a typical day at the school and introduced us to the teachers and staff. After speaking with her I can say I felt a huge weight lifted off my chest. I was impressed. After one week my daughter was coming home talking more, telling me about her day and "teachers", Goddard is NOT a daycare it's a school. I have so many good things to say I don't know if I can express my feelings accurately for Ms Shifali and the rest of staff. To all the teachers, staff and the owners, thank you. You all have treated us as family and not only taught our daughter about life, you have helped us grow as well. Our daughter has been with the Goddard School Herndon for over a year now, and we couldn't be happier with the way they have taken care of her and guided her through her early development. When she moved to the Baby's First Steps room, she was full on walking by the next weekend. The teachers have been very caring toward our daughter and are quick to let us know her achievements and any information from her day that we should know. Even the teachers I do not know usually stop to say hello as we are coming or going. The rooms are clean and have plenty of room for the kids to move around in and they have a lot of diverse activities throughout the day. Highly recommend.

My child has been attending the Goddard School in Herndon since she was three-months-old. She is almost 16-months-old now and I am extremely happy with my choice to enroll her there. The school administrators have a strong focus on the safety of the children, and the school has so much more than that to offer. The teachers and other staff members are very loving and genuinely care for the children. Even teachers from other classrooms and the front desk staff know my child by name. My little one is engaged in educational and fun activities throughout the day and has learned so much. She was born over two months premature and has amazed her infant development specialists with her progress. My daughter attends The Goddard School and we could not be happier. The staff is top notch. They are personable, professional, and have extensive experience in the field of teaching/leadership. The attention to each child is like no other school we have been to. They offer a great combination of learning, playing, creativity, and so much more. There is a strong commitment to the growth of each child and it is clear the minute you walk into this school.

It has been a wonderful experience for us to have our 3.5yr old in Goddard School for the past 3mons. The teachers are so warm and patient with the kids. Her potty training was so easy once she joined the school as the teachers were very helpful. My daughter is a picky eater but she started doing a great job with eating on her own once she started school.The snacks the school provides are healthy and interesting for the kids to eat. Her talking skills have developed so well in a refined manner. She is more independent now. The daily activity report the teachers send everyday is very helpful in knowing what your kid did in her class all day. The school engages the kids in different activities helping the kids grow and learn a lot of things at the right age.Overall she is a happy kid and loves to go to her school.
