Dr. Lela takes time to listen to her patients to meet each patient where they are at in terms of their health, and understanding of their health, and readiness to create and implement a health plan. Choosing to evaluate my health from a functional approach instead of a conventional approach was the smartest decision I have made for my health. Dr. Lela was able to help diagnosis the cause of my health issues with accuracy within one hour of her time asking about my health history. My personal experience with The Functional Medicine Dr office has been very positive. I 'm feeling 100 percent better than before I started following Dr. Iduna's treatment recommendations. It's so great to feel good again! I like that the office is very accessible when you need to speak with someone. They actually answer the phone or call you back shortly after you leave a message. It's evident that Dr. Iduna and her nurse Kim have a genuine concern for the well-being of their patients. Dr. Iduna is a licensed medical doctor, but I like that she is open to healing the whole person, finding the root cause of your medical issue, not merely "treating" a symptom. My experience with Dr. Lela thus far has been extremely helpful and encouraging. I was grateful when I found her practice. I was struggling with Rheumatoid Arthritis as well as side effects from all the medications I was on prescribed by my rheumatologist.
I have always been a believer in functional / holistic medicine as it actually treats the cause of disease as opposed to mainstream medicine.
Currently I am off all those toxic medications and am feeling better. I still have some symptoms of RA but I know I am on the right path. Thanks to Dr Lela Idunda, I feel like a brand new woman. I'm not sluggish all the time, I actually have energy. My mind isn't in this negative state, I feel stronger,  I'm able to think clearly. Its amazing the last couple of years I haven't felt like me, but now I do. I had a Dr tell me to try antidepressant medication and increased my estrogen, but that was not my answer.
