Ordered fish and chips and it was... puffy? So overbattered. Like you wrapped cod in a non-sweet pancake or an elephant ear. The outside was golden and crunchy, but the inside of the coating was underdone and doughy. I'm still mad.
And, yeah, the view of the river is gorgeous, but the place 's ambience doesn't warrant the pretentious menu and ridiculous prices. Truffle fries? An $89 chateaubriand (yes, really!?). And yet I can hear the Allman Brothers and video poker machines from the bar? And their $5 side salad is diced iceberg mix with croutons and sunflower seeds?
Figure out if you're a small-town "good eats" joint (and then charge like it) or if you're an upscale steakhouse (and then decorate like it). Until then, I'll be avoiding this place.
