Stepping inside, you may feel you've mistakenly stepped in to a tailor's shop on Savile Row in London- beautiful leather furniture, velvet drapes, and wood paneling that embody the luxury of centuries past. It doesn't take much to imagine Babe Ruth himself might have gotten his hair cut at such an establishment during his time with the Red Sox when he lived in the Back Bay.

The best haircut I've had in Boston! I wanted to try a new barber and saw amazing reviews and some well-groomed people on Instagram; the space is beautiful, yet not too loud or obnoxious at all. Julio is so kind, perfectly conversational, and so precise. My hair is tricky to cut and he did a beautiful fade - I told him I have an interview in two days and he cut my hair to the perfect length that doesn't need to be grown into. Will be coming back here as my primary barber!

The worst haircut of my life. If the very popular owner of the shop is not the one cutting your hair, do not risk it. The person who cut mine did not know what they were doing.

Edited to add: I visited in early July but over a month later I am still waiting for my hair to grow out. I emailed them after and got no reply and also I paid with a card so they absolutely know who I am.

Walked in and got a great cut. Will return for sure!

Temple of Groom is one of the best barber shops in the country. I’m on an extended stay in Boston and needed a haircut. Julio is really precise and gave me a great cut (and my hair is a bit tricky). The shop itself is an Instagram-worthy destination with beautiful, antique barber stools and fixtures. Highly recommended.

I've been going to Temple of Groom for close to a year now. It has been, by far, the best barbershop experience I've had in Boston. The shop is clean and elegant, and Julio's friendliness and class really make it an enjoyable experience. His passion for his craft is evident in every haircut, and his team has been carefully developed to provide the same level of quality. I highly recommend this place!
