We’ve used Steamway Craftsmen Cleaning Services for years! Love the employees! Love the service we get and how clean our carpets look!

Steamway Ames did my carpets on a rental I lived in West Ames for 2.5 years. Even though I was clean resident, I was required to have the carpets done professionally upon my exit from the lease. I called Steamway and they sent out a guy within a week at a medium price by local standards.

What I did not expect was the professionalism of the worker, and the high quality results. They sent out some guy who really knew his stuff and did a fantastic job. The floors were better than when I moved in. My (now-EX) landlord, who was quite particular, asked me who did the floors because he was impressed.

I don't work for them or even remember their names but give them a high rating because of the quality of what they do and how they deal with people.

Not the cheapest, nowhere near the most expensive, but possibly the best floor people around.

Jerry Garcia, the technician who came and cleaned my basement on December 23, is absolutely the epitome of what any home- or property owner wants in a professional: polite, interested, responsive, and--OH MY GOODNESS--so hard working and thorough! He cheerfully talked to me about what he could and couldn't do (I had a furniture stain that he said he'd do his best to remove, but barring that, would at least treat it properly so it'd fade; he kept his promise).

The only negative thing I have to say is, by the time he was finished shortly after 5:00, office staff had already left and he couldn't process my credit card. I don't like writing checks for numerous reasons, but in this case, I wanted to make his life easier, so a check it was.

Would I call on Steamway again? Absolutely! And I'll specifically ask for Jerry. But, next time, I'll pay for the...

With the heavy rains my insurance agency took on water through the front door saturating the carpeting in several rooms. I contacted Steamway's emergency number and spoke with Russ at 5:30am. He was at my office by 8:30 with his equipment and did an outstanding job extracting the water! We needed to get our office open so we could help our clients and very much appreciated their responsiveness and excellent work! Thanks again Russ!

Very professional staff on three different cleaning projects at our house. Cleaned all ductwork to remove saw dust from prior owner, did a perfect job. Cleaned dryer vent duct and it was packed full of lint. Again a perfect job and clean up. Finally a water line break clean up again was immediate in their response and dried up the moisture in record time and left our home dry like new. Highly recommend their services to everyone.

I always love it when the guys from Steamway come clean the carpets! I briefly forget how especially dirty a 140# Newfoundland dog can be :) I am especially glad when we get assigned to Russ - he does such a great job and I'm always happy to welcome him into our home. THANK YOU!
