I have been at Seven Oaks Academy since February and I am so grateful to be part of this awesome and growing team. I really appreciate all the staff and Ms. Gwyn. Everyday, I always feel the positive energy of everyone. I truly appreciate the trust that Ms. Gwyn gave me on everything that I did. I always feel appreciated. Seven Oaks Academy is an inspiration and gives excellent motivation to achieve our goals.

Leadership treats employees badly. I’ve worked in collaboration with many educational institutions over the last 20+ years and find it hard to believe that places like this still exist. There are good teachers that will pour into and build up your little ones. However when you have leadership that is questionable and dismissive of employees it eventually finds it way into classrooms. Proceed with caution.

My review was “somehow removed” so I’m backkkkk! Because apparently she’s still up to her terrible ways. Shocker.

PS: Marie is a virtually hired assistant who’s never met this woman in person. Was prob told to make it, she’s literally a virtual assistant based in PH.

Working with 7 Oaks was the most unorganized experience I’ve had in a while. Upon hire Erica Gwyn sold a dream that she has yet to attain. A place for “growth” and “mentorship” is advertised, but that’s far from what you’ll get. Upon hire I received my schedule for the first week of work. It seems as if anytime someone writes a review that calls the owner out on her bad business practices magically others are summoned to counter with positive reviews. What I will say is if you are looking to place a child in this school or seeking employment I encourage you to do your research. The owner posts positions that are currently filled while praising the employees that hold those positions. She will remove children off the roster without notice and fire you without a proper explanation. If you are currently employed here I encourage you to not get too comfortable because you are expendable.

After few months of searching for a job, I finally found my home. Seven Oaks Academy executives and staffs are family to me. As a new member of their staff, they always make sure everything is taken care of, they think of how you feel and support you with whatever you need. I have never been with such a company like this. It was such a great opportunity meeting with the Interim Preschool Principal, Mrs. Gwyn, she was so nice and cool and I admire her accomplishments. I'm looking forward to learning more from this company!

I came to tour this facility for a friend. I am a former licensing consultant, so I am commonly asked to visit facilities. :)
Upon arrival I was blown away with the level of cleanliness provided.
I was greeted by Erica, the owner. She asked me to sanitize my hands upon entry. Although we would like to think COVID is over with, we have to also realize there are so many other diseases that exist and that all steps to keep enrolled children are needed.
The front area was so clean! I know children aren't in this area, but you have to appreciate a clean lobby.
While in the front I peeked at the menu for the children... Amazing to say the least. Its not often that you see real meals on the children menus, but the meals were so nutritious and it looks like fun thing are introduced to children. This is definitely not a fish sticks and tater tots every day type of...

Terrible employer! Mistreats employees!

My experience at Seven Oaks Academy has been a roller-coaster to say the least. I honestly debated on writing this review but I hope it saves at least one employee or parent. I followed Seven Oaks Academy newsletter and page for awhile. I loved all the beautiful post and awards they received. After a few months of following them, I decided to apply for a posted position. I am a certified Montessori teacher and have over 15 years of experience. I was very excited when I first met Erica Gwyn. She showed me her plans for the school which was in transition to become a Montessori school. In May, I accepted her job offer and officially started July 25th (the date the school was scheduled to open for teachers). It was alot of work to transition the classroom to be child ready.
