Askew’s Landing RV Campground

Nice RV campground, close to the interstate. My wife and I were passing through and needed a halfway stop for the night. Askew's landing was perfect. Nice, quiet, full hookup, pool (which we didn't use, but other campers were enjoying themselves). Staff was super nice. Will likely come back again, possibly for more than just one night.

Our family stays here every summer on our way to Florida. We love it!

We got there on Friday and stayed until Sunday. We camped in a tent and the staff was very friendly and professional. The entire facility was clean and well maintained. We definitely will be going back.

When I tell you this place was perfect, I mean it. We rented the cabin for my baby’s 9th birthday this weekend and it was breathtaking taking! Top tier quality. Fully stocked with everything you need. All I had to bring was my food, and personal care items. They even had soaking bath salts for the jacuzzi tub (my favorite) Boardgames, magnet building blocks, and even a babydoll for my girl. The wrap around porch was one of a kind! My husband and I sat in the rocking chairs until 3am. Then we snuck off and rode bikes around the property which was dimly lighted with the most beautiful lights! The staff was on call and ready to serve at any moment. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience! They even put a happy birthday sign in our yard! We stopped in on the way to Alabama from Texas. Very quiet and clean campground. Easy access to I-20.

Hidden Gem is the perfect description for this place. We found Askew’s Landing through Harvest Hosts for an overnight place to stay in our airstream. This is THE CUTEST PLACE. Somewhat reminds you of summer camp. They have paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, a pool, and very family friendly. They also have tent camping spots, a few cabins, and a few glamping tents. The staff was very welcoming and gave us an escort to our parking spot. You have the option to utilize FHU or not for a reasonable fee. Snow cones, ice cream, and root beer floats were for sale until 6:00. There is an adorable general store that has a variety of things from fishing bait to snacks to supplies. There is excellent signage to the place so you don’t miss where to turn. It is a little bit off the beaten path but it was quiet, well maintained, and needed minimal leveling for us.
