Jeff is absolutely THE best! I’m so grateful for his help. My mother, in her mid 80’s, after two shoulder surgeries began to experience a “frozen neck.” In order for her to move her neck, she had to move her entire body. She was in severe pain for a year and didn’t know where to turn for help. We don’t live in the same city, but my family knew we needed to find someone that could help and give her some hope. Jeff Rau was that person! He’s very knowledgeable, thoughtful, kind and patient. He’s explained to my mother about her neck and made her feel comfortable with physical therapy. He’s also continually kept me informed about her progress. In just a month, she’s started to improve and it’s wonderful to hear the optimism and excitement in her voice. I highly recommend Jeff!

Jeff is a fantastic Physical Therapist. Jeff listens to his patients issue (s) and helps to educate his patients. He asks many questions to determine his best approach to your issue. He always takes the time to talk you through the proper form and verify that you are not hurting by doing a motion. Jeff also takes time to educate his patients as to why they have a certain injury using text books for reference pictures. He will always ask how you are feeling before your session starts and after your session has been completed.

I am a 26-year-old 4th degree black belt in American Karate. Being in karate, I've visited Jeff's clinic for many different issues over the past several years, but one of the ways Jeff has helped me most was a few years ago. Only a couple months before I was going to test for my 3rd degree black belt, I pulled a muscle in my leg. I had a lot of pain just while walking - especially up stairs - and the thought of doing even basic kicks in karate was both laughable and disheartening. When I came to Jeff Rau at R&R physical therapy I was in pain every day and could barely walk. I’d been on crutches for 3 months before being diagnosed with a compressed nerve in my spine. Only 4 months after back surgery I had to have knee surgery. For about 8 months I tried 3 different physical therapy offices. They all tried to help but I still couldn’t walk without a lot of pain and swelling in my knee. My back pain and stiffness forced me to use dressing tools and I couldn’t bend enough to put on my own shoes.
Jeff took the time to get my whole story. He didn’t just focus on my fixing my knee or back. He explained how the way I walked was keeping my pain and swelling going. First let me say that I'm skeptical when it comes to stuff like this, but Jeff Rau proved me wrong. What I really like about him is his patience and thoroughness. I promise u this, after a session with him u will feel better. I'm so use to waking up with pain, I was confused when I woke up with none lol. If u do ur part by doing ur homework he gives, it's a win win. There is not a number on a scale that I could give high enough to rate Jeff Rau. He's the best at what he does.
I can sit for hours talking to him about therapy and referred pain. He has inspired me to move towards my goals in the health and wellness field. He is a phenomenal Physical Therapist.
