I came to Jeff Rau PT with neck and back pain, and after a few sessions my therapist was able to reduce my pain substantially and identify problems I didn’t even know I had. I had tried stretching and yoga, but my therapist helped realign my body in a way I couldn’t have achieved on my own. I didn’t realize how much pain I had been in until it got better. I’d recommend Jeff Rau PT to anyone experiencing pain or discomfort.

At the beginning of June I developed pain in my hip area and down my leg. After my normal chiropractic and massage care did nothing to alleviate the pain, I went to my doctor (GP) to confirm that I have sciatica. After steroids and muscle relaxers I still could hardly walk. I had to bend over halfway to be able to do the few things I could still manage around the house. I got Jeff’s name through an acquaintance and am so grateful I did! He too confirmed sciatica and said I could not exercise my way out of it. After 5 visits I am almost back to normal! He has addressed changing some sleeping habits and given me some very different exercises. He is training muscles to do their proper job-not to pass them on to other muscles which has helped cause my sciatica. I was referred to Dr. Rau due to lingering issues stemming from multiple minor bulging discs for the past 12-15 years. This week will be my 4th visit and I have already seen massive improvements in mobility, functionality, and pain (much less/sometimes zero pain!).

Prior to seeing Dr. Rau I had tried other PTs, multiple chiropractic practices, and several other doctors.

I really appreciate him taking the time to get to the root/cause of the issue so that we could work together on preventing the problem and not just addressing/treating the problem. That has been huge.

I highly recommend Dr. Rau and would encourage anyone who is on the fence to let him do an initial assessment at the very minimum like I did.

Jeff is one of the best professionals that I have worked with. I am a manual therapist myself and am very picky on whom I allow to work on me. I came to Jeff with years of pain and discomfort from powerlifting and general self neglect. I was skeptical that anyone was able to help me, and in a few appointments Jeff reassured me that I would be able to continue back to my active lifestyle with little to no issue. His approach is extremely unique and takes a full holistic viewpoint to his treatment and care plans. I can not recommend Jeff enough to anyone who has a complex condition like I did !

I have been dealing with chronic neck and shoulder pain for several years. The discomfort and pain was causing me stress in much of my life activities. I work as an occupational therapist in a hospital, which requires I do a lot of lifting several days a week, and was stressed I was not going to be able to do my job as well if the pain continued. I also was having pain lifting and caring for my toddler. I even had stopped exercising because anything I did seemed to make it worse. Jeff is a miracle worker!! I came to Jeff with little hope that I would ever walk without a walker or drive again, thinking that having a knee replacement was a horrible idea. Before coming to Jeff I saw a different physical therapist that did nothing at alleviate my pain. I had no hope.

Switching to R&R Physical Therapy was an answer to my prayers! Not only did Jeff encourage me, he helped me smile again. Today I am walking without a walker and driving. Thank you for everything! I sought out PT 8 months after a bicycle accident, suffering a concussion, whiplash, post-concussion syndrome with headaches and a right shoulder separation. I had also developed low back pain. I had pain constantly and was losing the ability to do simple tasks such as getting dressed. I was sleeping poorly. I had 4 sessions with Jeff, and was assigned home program tasks after each session. I now have returned to walking up to 2 miles, riding an exercise bike for 30 minutes, and light yoga. I also can now lift and reach without pain. I can now sleep through the night. I will definitely return for "tune up" visits as I progress. I am a PT myself, and Jeff was extremely helpful in getting me to take off my PT hat and focus on my well being and recovery.

Jeff was amazing! I had a stress fracture in my ankle and navicular bone in my left foot that had given me trouble for years. He spent a great deal of time getting to know me and assessing my injury which led to such great healing. I highly recommend him and his staff! Run (if you’re able), don’t walk, to go see him!!
