The good: Marjie listens to your problems and isn't judgemental. She's pretty good about asking questions to get you to evaluate your own actions and whether it's conducive to meeting your goals.
The bad: She also gave me appallingly terrible advice that, if I had followed it, would've certainly led to divorce, which was not my stated relationship goal. A counselor needs to work within the moral framework of the client, and she didn't.

I have recently experienced a great loss of both of my sons dying. I have been attending counseling here and learning how to cope with their loss and moving forward with my new life. I am receiving the coaching needed to understand how strong of a person I am and that I am capable of standing on my own.

Great place to go for couple therapy! If you are looking for someone to help you and your partner through life difficulties and have someone to listen to both sides you are in the right place.

Since I have been seeing Dr. Prefontaine I feel our sessions have helped me through several difficult situations. She provided guidance and strategies to help my relationships. She is able to help with filtering through feelings and memories to get to the root of my difficulties. She is professional and compassionate during our sessions. Called to set an appointment and Dr. Prefontaine was very rude only highlighting the negatives about how I was trying to explain the situation for couples and individual counseling. She said well which is it? I advised both. She asked what insurance I had and then stated she didn’t accept it and hung up.
